Another field knife

1075 carbon steel that i water quenched. I made a hand tool to draw cut the double fuller grooves. Stag handle and some of my scratching.

My bowie from Bill Bagwell is folded 5X. Is that 32 layers?

 

How many folds does that equate out to be in the forging process?

 

Its been a couple of years but if i remember right about 28 with inserted pieces on ocassions while stacking. Most of the time there was quad folds, a single fold would have taken far too long in the fire.
