Notwithstanding the fact that there's an inconveniently large ocean between my QTH and the majority of you it's interesting to keep up on the use of nets etc even if you cant participate directly. Even there some of the new dig modes might be workable on a good day, and while the net is up there's alays echonet!
I'm not a ham operator, but guys like you will be indispensable if we ever lose the Internet or all other long-distance communications in an emergency or otherwise.
I have my IC-7300 set up but seldom use it anymore, maybe a couple of time per month to ensure its operational. I do use my VHF radios once or twice a week to just ensure things are operating correctly since we're into fire season. I just don't do radio like I use to...maybe it's because Trump won and things are getting a bit better, I really don't know.
I check into a couple of of nets - one VHF and couple if related HF nets to ensure my high power gear is up to snuff and NVIS antennas are working. Otherwise, some QRP stuff for fun.
Still do a couple 2m nets, a 6m net, 10m net and a 2m ssb net each week. Playing around some with Winlink, VaraC and some FT-8 on HF when time permits.
