Well, at first blush, the theory seems sound to me if indeed they eliminated the floating-rate note (FRN) - meaning - "...massive credit crunch as the banks are unwilling to extend loans at current values and have them paid back with devalued currency." and "...also collapsing the mortgage market. Wells Fargo is dumping AAA mortgages onto secondary market..."

What she doesn't explain is why they would do this, no reason(s) or purpose, and how she came to this conclusion because something like this is huge, especially since the Fed recently painted a totally different and rosy picture just a few days ago stating they believe no more interest rate hikes and thought they would cut rates 3X in 2024 among other things, inflation while still high was falling and expected to fall to 2% next year.

Now, since I can spit farther than I trust the US government to include the Fed, I question the truthfulness of their announcement; nevertheless, this is what was said.

Personally, I wouldn't give this much credibility without more detailed information and would flag it as just another 'the sky is falling' rant from some self-appointed economic genius. Don't get me wrong, bad things are coming due to the US debt (a $trillion dollars paid in interest per year!) and our enemies of the world that know the Achilles heel of the West is indeed economics given $$ is indeed the muscle and sinews of war. The thing that people forget is even the US government, the big financial institutions and banks and the entire financial world wants to hold onto their money also so they will do everything possible to continue to prop up the house of cards.

All of this, of course, is my own humble opinion which is worth absolutely nothing.

No doubt a currency exchange will probably happen, but it will be to bring out all of the "hoarded" money people have in the mattress. It will initially likely be 1:1, and dropping in exchange rate as time goes on. The thing that has stopped it thus far is overseas debt, as our debtors will not take kindly to it. Rest assured, the Federal Reserve will not do anything to put it's own profits at risk. It is their money, and they are not a government agency. Guaranteed the new money will also be "Federal Reserve Notes".
