This is my woodland survival kit I carry when I am am hunting. I try to keep it light and minimal. Water, fire cordage, cutting tool is a given. My cover is what I am wearing. Does anyone else use a similar kit?

    That's pretty neat.

UncleMorgan I like peeling bananas and (occasionally) people.

I use just the cup, and managed to stuff a lot of high living into mine.

I made a Basic Blade from a broken piece of electric hacksaw blade. Ground the smooth side up to a point and put a 100% edge along it. Kept the hole at one end for handle cords or spear point lashing. It can saw through anything, cut, stab, & scrape. Drill shallow holes. Do all those good things.

It's precisely the greatest length that will lie flat across the top of my canteen cup.
