    New info and photos
A source told SOFREP and thearmsguide.com that when Dallas SWAT made entry after the detonation of the explosive device, they encountered a Saiga AK-74 style semiautomatic rifle on the floor among the rubble. The weapon reportedly had a 30 round magazine, single point sling, Magpul folding stock, and a rail system with a red dot sight."

That Saiga held up pretty well for having survived a bomb blast - doesn't seem to have a scratch on it or the optic.

On another forum someone noticed it's like new condition and mentioned several things like the shipping cover on the charge handle, mag in pic known for jamming, and a few other things. The observation was that it looked new from the box with a little dirt sprinkled on it. Any monkeys familiar enough with these to tell if the charge handle still has the shipping sleeve?

That body doesn't look like there "wasn't enough tissue left to do testing" either.

Now it all makes sense... He used a grocery store bought double shot adapter to turn a bolt action hunting rifle into a fully automatic assault weapon...foosed

Best commentary I have read on the subject:

"First of all, he was anything but a coward. The only way you could conceivably call him a coward was because he shot his targets from a covered, concealed position, and then moved before they could return fire at him. Calling that “cowardice” instead of “good tactical acumen” means that every US infantryman is also a coward, because that’s, well…sort of what we do. It’s called an ambush, and it’s a fundamental tactical task of successful combat operations."

He's not a coward because of the tactics he used. He's a coward because he ambushed people who had no expectation there would be armed conflict. People who had done nothing to him and weren't otherwise going to do anything to him. The Dallas PD was there working with the protestors to provide them protection.

Of course, that is what an ambush is and hoped for if you are the guy that planned it. I can't call it cowardice, but what ever else it might be called, it was despicable.
