There needs to be a bounty on these morons. Yeah, those guys are extremists, just like PETA and several other organizations around the world. They think they're saving the world by blowing up SUVs and burning down wooden houses without stopping to realize that people will just buy another SUV and rebuild the wooden house. They are attacking the wrong end of the supply chain.
"Like wow man!" "If we could all just eat soy and natural grains...we could all live in harmony with Mother Gia." Bla Bla Bla! "We could all have organically grown hemp coats to protect us from the global warming." Bla Bla Bla! These people are a tick on the ass of the human species. Their parents must be real proud!
~giggle~ They might not have gotten caught, except when the police showed up, they were all holding hands in a ring around the fire singing Kumbaya. ~giggle~
I welcome them to my house. They can bring all the matches and gas they want. I'll bring a good rifle and ammo. We'll see who wins, they may get the house but I'll get a few good punches in too. hehehehe. Seriously, these people usually have more than just this on their plate. A lot of them also are on the radical side of peta and a lot of other fringe groups. Take care Be safe Poacher.
OK, I may be the odd man out on this one... I live in a small town Northeast of a larger City. My Family has lived in this small town for five generations, before this state was even a state. As a kid my immediate family lived in the larger city. I have grown up traveling back and forth from this small town to the City and back. Most of that time most of the drive it was basically in the Boonies, and it was almost all at country. Over the years the City grew as well as some of the towns between here and there. Then around 2000 the whole landscape really started to change. these little housing divisions began sprouting up EVERYWHERE. On either side of the Highway they just started popping up like mushrooms. All these little divisions were the same. No sidewalks, no connection to anything, just one road in and out. All the houses exactly the same. Every field, stream, and woods between here and the City are gone now. It is one long s**t hole of faux suburbia between this little town and the City; And now all those houses have little for sale signs on them. During the time these divisions were going up, the economy wasn't booming, jobs were harder to find, and they pay less. I kept wondering "who are these houses being built for? Who can afford them?" Now I realize, Tom Dick and Harry were buying them and NOONE could afford them. People are talking about the Mortgage crisis like it was unexpected, well if you ask me it wasn't unexpected. The banks were loaning more money to the developers than the divisions were worth, and getting kickbacks, the developers were selling these houses to people whom the banks were loaning too much money to, again for kickbacks, and all that debt was being repackaged and sold to foreign banks. It was all a big lie to prop up a failing economy, the construction jobs were created to cover for manufacturing jobs which are all gone. Now the Cat is out of the bag, the dollar is falling, the divisions are empty, and the woods and fields are gone forever. I'm not a "tree hugger," I never bought into "manmade global warming," and I never supported the Kyoto treaty. But If I knew an ELF member I would buy his tree hugging liberal a** a Beer and say Good Job. These banks have raped the countryside for as far as I can see, and those SOB's should be in jail.
But unfortunantly it isn't just the banks or the "big" mortgage companies that get hurt when the elf people decide to burn the house down. Alot of these people already signed the paperwork on the loan so when it gets burned the new owners get to look at a vacant lot as they make that mortgage payment. Theres always a couple of sides to each story, but starting fires and not caring if someone gets hurt or killed cause it's for the greater glory of the earth kinda turns my stomach. Take care Be safe Poacher.
You're right, and I feel for those people. It is difficult for me to come down completly for, or against, the actions of those arsonists. A frustrating situation.
so elf members believe dont hurt the environment? but they burn toxic fumes based on the treatment of the wood floors? walls, and ceilings? perhaps im just ignerant n all that there country stuff. but if you burn down a house doesnt that cause more issue into the economicalized type situation?(tryin for a larry the cable guy kinda tone here)
