Everything is down right now. Well except the US Dollar. It appears to be: "If you can't sell what you want, sell what you can" If i had to guess, i would say maybe the fear that the pandemic is restarting in europe, civil unrest in the US and the predicted US harvest. Oh yeah, than throw in RBG for good measure. Right now we are just sitting on a marble, on a glass plate, on top of a teflon sheet on top of wet ice.
Currently (Monday 11:00 PST) I am seeing it at $1934... so yes it is off a bit but that's probably nothing more than speculators selling. I think gold is the real financial alarm and should we see it spike driven by the big boys then we better hang on tight. So far, it has moved skyward due to the election, the unrest, pandemic, etc...basically like everything else related to survival and preparedness, but the big boys haven't dived in yet. Anyway, this is how I read this...my 2 cents...which won't buy - anything.
The big boys buy when is low as of Jan , again in the dip of now ,, Gold Price Today | Price of Gold Per Ounce | 24 Hour Spot Chart | KITCO Many Stack in small amounts , Buy a case of beer /Smokes / Escort OR buy a Round ??? Sounds like a good party !!
Word on the street is china is dumping gold and reserve currency to buy food so pooh bear doesn't get spit roasted over an open fire.
Nope , only loose when I sell it below what i paid , I have not sold for years , but always stack a little is I can Sloth
Probably $1,400 to $1,500. If we see late 1990s crazy no upward limit stock market then it might go back down around $1,200 but for once I'm not optimistic about how low it can go. You'll have all the "dump rocks for stocks" people out in full force talking about how gold is dumb, ect, ect. But those are the guys that will be painting and texturing the ceiling above their desk when the stock market craters. Oh and china has conducted new record level high buys of corn, rice, soybeans and beef feom the US causing corn, rice and soybean prices soaring. It's all over the farm reports. They have also bought new record setting amounts from other nations willing to sell. They are at least burning through reserve currency. It's very reasonable to assume they may start selling gold if they haven't already. The first rule in selling large amounts of gold is don't tell anyone you are selling large amounts of gold or the price might go down.
