Hi all I posted first in the off grid section. My wife and I live in a remote loaction. We have been slowly becoming independant, still working on it. Obviously Covid is making us move faster now. The building is nearly off grid. We are looking at having aniamals etc. And a nice crossbow might be handy! Anyway, nice to be here, looks like a good place to be. Cheers, Justin
Scots are always welcome, never enough highlanders, it seems. MacFarlane ancestry here. The lantern is lit.
Welcome to this Tree of many and varied branches. Some branches are strong; some are weak; most of us are both at the same time because none of us knows everything. One thing for certain though, we are all here to learn more to improve where we are lacking, and share where we have knowledge and experience.
Welcome from Alabama! Be interested in hearing about the differences in prepping there vs here. For example, you mentioned getting a crossbow...crossbows are nice to have over here too and are much quieter than a rifle. Plus you can make your own crossbows and bolts!
Yes, well here having a gun is quite problematic and the police can enter you home anytime to inspect the guns. A crossbow seems a much better option.
Welcome to our Monkey Tree.... and say Hello to my cousins, The “Gordon’s”, and the “Erskine’s” if you run across any... Gordon’s are Fathers side, and Erskine's are Mothers side...
Welcome to the tree! Glad you found us! Just had a skeery thought... since there can be only one highlander and there are at least four of you in this thread, well, I'd just like to point out that I'm mostly Weegin, German, and Russian, so please keep your sword hakkin each other to yourselves, OK?
