1. Given the media intensity given to the Corona or Wuhan virus, there seems no reason to have posts on that very specific subject in several forums Accordingly, all of those posts will be moved to "Headlines". All new items on that subject should be posted there as well. This notice will expire on 1 April, or be extended if needed. Thanks, folks.

We are all aware of the Conta virus dangers. What could we do if a virus pandemic gets to your country or city? Watch next video to have an idea of what could happen.

The COMMON flu has already infected 19 million Americans this year and killed over 10,000. Did you get a flu shot? That’s way more likely to infect and kill you.

We just keep the Mail Plane Pilot at arms length, and do a surgical Scrub after we sort the Mail... That will keep our isolation good enough for us...

There's a near pandemic every year. It's called the flu.

Wash your hands regularly, use hand sanitizer when you cannot wash, keep your hands away from your face, avoid crowds of people, do not eat at restaurants. But in a plague situation, I would isolate myself and follow the above protocol.

Stay stocked up, if you need food in the metro areas go on Sunday morning. Use proper mask, stay clean and use a credit card that is touched only by you. Keep a containment bag to stash "touched items" for decom later. Actually use correct NBC process. Proper glove protocols and touch nothing you do not need to.
    Stay out of crowds.
Gloves are a one time use deal and learn correct on and off routine.

What they have proven with the Coronvirus is that Governments and Organizations can't contain shit.

No, I was just echoing Thunder's sentiment. This can't be contained, though I appreciate the effort. If they had tried to contain it when it would have mattered we would all be calling them tyrants. There was no winning move for the governments involved here.

If it were something more deadly and as it looks now this virus is NOT nearly as bad as it being made out to be when you look at the actual numbers and the demographics of those that have died. But if were some more deadly it would be around the globe before they could even react. Particularly if some mutate with a transmission rate, a long incubation time and transmittable prior to the onset of symptoms...... like some of the weaponized critters they keep in labs :)

China has detected an outbreak of the bird flu near the epicenter of the deadly coronavirus, according to a report.

The bird flu outbreak was reported Saturday in Hunan, which borders the province of Hubei where the coronavirus broke out last month, according to the South China Morning Post.

“The outbreak occurred in a farm in the Shuangqing district of Shaoyang city,” officials said. “The farm has 7,850 chickens, and 4,500 of the chickens have died from the contagion.”

The fatal illness — known as H5N1 virus — causes “a highly infectious, severe respiratory disease in birds,” according to the World Health Organization.

The flu can be transmitted to humans, but there have been no reports of anyone with the illness, the outlet said.

The outbreak comes as Chinese authorities work to contain the new coronavirus strain, which has killed more than 300 people.

The flu outbreaks comes as North and South Korea prepare for the Winter Olympics, when athletes and sports fanatics from across the globe will head to the snowy mountains to watch the events for two weeks. North Korea’s luxury Masikryong ski resort will host hold training for non-Olympic skiers. A delegation of cheerleaders, performers and athletes will also be in the South.

But people living under Kim Jong Un’s regime have been dealing with a slew of rumored health issues. Babies born near the North’s nuclear test site reportedly have birth defects caused by radiation exposure. A North Korean soldier who defected to the South also had several parasites, including an 11-inch worm, slithering in his body.

The findings pointed to hygiene and food problems within North Korea.

What's not coming out of China!
Just received notice from both eBay and Amazon of "lost" orders. Both were ordered on 1-20-2020, prior to the Ninja Flu becoming a blip on the radar. Neither item could be remotely considered Survival/First Aid. They were parts for a hard tail bobber that my #2 son and I are building. I expect this "lost" message to be the norm in the next few weeks.

It “May” have a longer incubation period, longer than 14 Days... The definitive answer on that has not been published, yet... it is likely that specific characteristics will not be nailed down for months, yet...
