Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the beach... Hurricane season 2021 they are calling for 17 named storms. I believe it. We are experiencing solar maximum ramp up right now and yeah that kicks up and fuels all hurricanes at any stage of development. I did a study a few years where I would randomly pick notable hurricanes that made land fall. Every single one happened in a sun spot minimum where a solar storm was able to pop off or during solar maximum ramp up like we are having now.
In FL you either prep and accept them or move. Of course we're smack dab in central FL on high ground so flying debris and offshoot tornados are what we deal with mostly.
I live on high ground in FL also. I would have a basement or storm cellar except that I can't afford a boat. On average, FL stands 6 feet above sea level--and that includes the GA foothills that have snuck across the northern border. Most of the State is only about 3 ft above sea level.
not quite 3 feet. Most is well above that. https://johnenglander.net/florida-is-not-going-underwater-anytime-soon/
Yes, but it isn’t just the Sea Level rising, when you talk about Storm Surge.... It is Wind, Tide, Off Shore Current, Atmospheric Pressure, and a whole raft of other issues, that are related to Storm Surge...
