I have not had a lot of time with my new suppressor but so far I like it a lot the 158 gr 38 spl sounds like a pellet rifle. The 147 gr 9mm were a little loud but they might not be sub sonic.

I'm looking at getting a dedicated 9mm for the 357/38 lever action. Why because next year no tax stamp and it would be nice to find something a little smaller then the Hybrid 46 DTM that's on it now.

It's been great so far with the lever action. 158 gr 38 spl bullets sounds like a pellet gun with it on it. But I hope in 2026 it will be on a 45 LC lever action that I want.

As always how quite and small so I want it and how much are you willing to pay? It's going to be on a lever action rifle or AR-9 maybe my PSA Dagger.

How quite I want it? Just want something that ears are not ringing after shooting it. Cost well Im not looking to spend a lot like to keep it under $500 if I can.
I don't want anything heavier than what I have know unless it's modular. Thanks !

I caught it in the 1950's but have never done anything with it. Used some military stuff and just as it said, suppress does not silence the sound. Fire a main stream large caliber rifle and it sounds like a 22 short or it at least did then. Use a range in the main area of the base, enclosed, and not drive 10 miles to the base firing range. Always wanted one but did not want to be on the government radar. New law doesn't change that but may over run the system so you are no longer the tallest weed in the garden. Still sounds as if you will have to register and notify them if the "residence" of the suppressor changes. Don't know all the details as I have never owned one. If Walmart can keep track of me, I am sure the government can. It would be worth using just to keep your hearing as we age. But the down side is that we also don't know if someone has shot a deer on the back 40 that is posted no hunting if the 30-30 made in the 1800's has a modern suppressor or if the drive by shooter had one on his Glock. As usual a few rotten apples spoil the whole barrel.

"Why because next year no tax stamp..."
I thought they still required a tax stamp but one doesn't have to pay the $200 associated with it anymore. Am I wrong? I hope so...

I believe you are correct you still have to go through all the paperwork and finger prints but no $200 tax.
