OK it would have taken them a bit of time...

Went fishin' today and I almost got nibbled to death.

It was distracting as they went after the hair on my legs.
...and to think city folk pay good money for a pedicure like this. biglaff

No I didn't catch anything worth eatin', just lots of small smallmouth bass.

Which is why they call it fisnin' and not catchin'. [tongue]

Catch a thousand of them and you have a meal [ROFL]
Though I will say you have found the breeding grounds... and the lunkers are nearby ;)

Drives me crazy when the lakes are filled with baitfish, can't seem to catch a darn thing because their food supply is so huge.

Have heard stories about mosquitoes when the tundra thaws out and eggs start hatching.

I was stationed out on Adak Island back in the early 70's.

First time I went walking out in the tundra I had two mosquito's land on either side of me when I was taking a break. One turned to the other and said "Think we should eat him here or take him someplace else before the big guys get here ?" [tongue].

Survival fishing with fish like that....think scoop net....or....a hand dynamo with a cable into the water....don't be standing in the water tho when you're generating the electricity!
