Tenants of Seattle sue Seattle for abandoning them during CHOP. Everyone inside the CHOP/CHAZ zone has joined in a class action lawsuit saying that the city not only abandoned them when needed most but also helped the rioters destroy everything. The following video is a lawyer describing it. Of course you should never put too much faith in your computer or society because you never know when either will crash. These people should win but may not because the legal system is a joke and when the corruption is pervasive and systemic you never know what will happen. The irony is that they will be getting paid with tax dollars showing that the poor always bear the brunt of everything as well as history repeats itself because people never learn. The video of the Mayor is proof of that.
They've been cultivating Anarchists up there for more than twenty years, with agent provocateurs and radical squatters on the FBI payroll. Even the *gasp* police have been shown on video in disguises breaking windows and raising hell to warrant a police crackdown. This was a little different, more like political grand-standing. The case might fall flat if the plaintiffs were proven to have taken part in the occupation at any time or by even endorsing it.
I will be stunned if they win...but good luck to them. The sad thing is if they win they are paid by the taxpayers not the SOBs that caused the problem or those that allowed it to continue, their politically elected so-called leaders.
The United States Supreme Court ruled long ago that no Government (national, state or local) nor its agents are obligated to protect you, or your property! The citizens do have to pay their taxes. So pay up or bad things will happen to you, and sometimes bad things happen even when you do pay! The Mob or street-gangs could do a better job, and cost less!
