I went through Jungle survival school in the Philippines "way back when". Class was in an area that was pretty well stripped down, but was worth the effort. A class after mine, one of the Negritos teaching it started yelling at one of my friends. Friend thought the guy wanted him to come over. Instead, he was saying stay away (broken English). Friend took about 10 steps and ended up with looking at a Cobra about 2" taller than he was (hint, they only stand up 1/3 their height so 18' long or so snake).

My friend said it looked like a covey of quail flushing when that snake stood up with students and instructors goinig everywhere but there.
