    Is there a lot of woods near Cincy? what do you hunt in the woods there? Just wondering how the deer population is outside of a major city.

    Woods aren't bad mostly hardwood and pretty thick with honey suckle in most places. I hunt quite a bit but mostly squirrel, deer, and sometimes rabbits. The deer population is pretty heavy and I love in a county that can take 4 a year. So not too bad.

    We have a member on here @Bishop that can take a squirrel out with a sling shot. I have been practicing with the sling shot because if SHTF it would be a better way to take small critters.

    slingshot are the way to go cheap to shoot and with a little practice you will be lighting matches and cutting cards and taking small game.
