I never even heard of it! I will look it up as sounds interesting...I think there is a book out with the same sort of storyline. It will have to be on DVDs as I am one of those stubborn buggers that refuse to pay exorbitant prices for a lot a crap I don't want or need, so I don't have TV.

EDIT: It appears it has been on for 5 seasons! IMDB rating of 7.5...looks good! Also, appears it is still up in the air if there will be a 6th season. Currently, I watch only "The Vikings' and 'The Last Kingdom' and, of course, 'Game of Thrones' all rented or purchased so this would be a nice addition. LOL!

I have viewed every season of The Last Ship. I look forward to this one, as well. But, I have to say, the best season, was Season 1.

Super cool series with a great story line and great cast! Always love watching and waiting to the new episodes to come out!

Another cool show, Black Sails! Little dirty, raunchy, and bloody, but super cool too!
Mainly follows the Old Treasure Island story and "Long Jon Silver/ Cpt. Flint" before the Disney movie and later T.V. series as a Pre-Quil!

@sec_monkey In my book, 'Witcher 3' was the first real computer game for mature audiences. I'm not talking some porn games or silly so-called adult games like 'Leisure Suit Larry' but games with real content and storyline. I loved walking/running down the streets of Witcher 3 and the street girls saying witty things like "Do you always wear tight trousers?" Or the dwarf with the heavy Scottish accent cursing a blue streak. Hilarious! LOL!

I have seen some 'Black Sails', but can't remember where. I liked the story and the main characters except the extremely beautiful and petite woman that is suppose to be some sort of real bada$$. It was just too much of a stretch of reality, too beautiful, too clean, too small and petite.

my memory aint too gud right now, how far did ya get playing Fallout 4 or Skyrim? Both games have some real interestin mods. Some of which are really 18 plus plus plus plus

even in the stock game followers are always cracking jokes or have unique reactions to certain events .. ..

if ya go on Quest X with Follower A they have one kind of reaction

if ya go on Quest X with Follower B they have a different reaction

if ya go on Quest X with Follower C they have yet another kind of reaction

    .. ..

although some of the stuff they say does get repetitive

did ya ever play F NV or F 3??

I really liked Black Sails, really struggled with Captain Flint's sexual orientation though :) Three best characters IMO Charles Vane, Jack Rackam and Ann Bonnie. Ann was just straight up scary as hell!

Bloody Hell! Don't tell me Flint is a homosexual?! Yeah, Clara Paget made a good Ann Bonnie, looks the part. I see the series is now finished after 4 seasons, cost $60 on Amazon. I put it on my list for the wife to buy the next time she's goes see her mother in Central Asia as much cheaper there.

Yes, I played Fallout 4 and Skyrim to the finish. I enjoyed both but thought Fallout 4 got a bit repetitive. I found both to be lacking in gritty realism, not guts and gore but things like prostitution, slavery, sex, adult language, etc.. In Skyrim, you are assign this super-hot babe as your follower and you're together all the time, fighting bad guys, killing monsters and neither makes a pass at the other? Reality? It felt like I was playing a child's game and I was. In this regard, Witcher 3 was far better, better script too, colorful and bawdy and the constant friction between the different genders. I feel both missed the mark and while both are good games in my view they are not great not due to game mechanics or graphics but script. In a nutshell, they needed better writers. Yes, I know they are supposedly great but in truth the gaming world is relativity new and they are just starting to discover it takes more than blood and gore and pretty pictures but also good characters with acting skills and a good script.

Tell me some Skyrim mods you recommend and I will find and load them as I am in the mood to replay it a bit but this time I am turning into a bad dude - rape, plunder and pillage - and see if I can keep my turnip in place while doing so. LOL!

    @Bandit99

in Fallout NV ya got all of that .. one of the casinos is appropriately called Gomorrah .. methinks it must be similar to the Witcher 3 but with ancient year 2008/2010 graphics .. the stock game does not have nudity however methinks there are some mods ..

actually in Skyrim ya have a number of followers ya can recruit, ya do not have to stick with Lydia

ya can also marry certain followers or certain NPCs, a few followers plus NPCs do not have the option to get married but there are console commands to change that .. ya have to get the amulet of Mara from Riften then ya have to get the NPC or follower to really like ya, then ya can talk to em, if they agree to marry ya, yall head to the Temple of Mara fer the weddin ceremony .. then ya can ask yer spouse to go to one of yer properties where the spouse will set up shop and become a merchant .. yer spouse will also make ya a certain amount of gold per day, will trade with ya plus plus ..

in fallout 4 there are lots of followers to choose from and ya can get romantically involved with em, although marriage is not an option in the stock game .. ya can have multiple romantic relationships in F 4 ..

will have to get back to ya about the mods :) (y)

@sec_monkey I think that Witcher 3 was such a big hit that it raised the benchmark and we'll be seeing more in this realm to include the next Fallout and Skyrim... Yeah, if you do hear or run across any mods that are worthy then toss me a line. I am getting ready for winter, which is no small thing here, but 'Winter is coming' and we'll be staying indoors so after a few projects we'll have some time...

The original Fallout had a lot of what The Witcher 3 has now .. The 1st Fallout was released in 1997 with really ancient graphics, but it had most or all of the concepts .. although the story lines are completely different ..

The 1st Witcher game was released in 2007 ..

The Witcher books were released from 1993-2013 .. aint read em

Interplay, the original game company behind fallout was founded in 1983 long before the books were published in Poland
