I really want this to be the year that I don't fail at growing garlic. I've tried a couple times before with disappointing results, and I'm hoping some experienced growers here can share their wisdom. What I'm specifically wondering about: When exactly should I be planting? I've heard fall is best but I'm not sure about timing in my area How deep and far apart should I plant the cloves? Is it possible to grow garlic in containers? Any particular varieties that are more forgiving for someone still learning? Watering schedule - I think I may have overwatered last time When do I know it's ready to harvest? I have a sunny spot in my garden with decent drainage, and I'm willing to put in the effort to finally get this right. Any tips, tricks, or hard-learned lessons you'd be willing to share would be amazing. Even small details that might seem obvious to experienced growers could be exactly what I need to hear. Thanks in advance for any help!
