Do the Democrats have a plan to make the United States more prosperous?
Do they have a plan to make the US safer and more secure?
Is there any semblance of a plan to improve Healthcare?

No, they are way to busy figuring out how to impeach Trump, and bring us to the Socialist Revolution... It takes up ALL their time....

    I know that's all I ever see.
I'm assuming I just missed the grand plan and that they actually have a plan that can resonate with a larger portion of voters besides what appears to be pandering to the extreme left.

If the Republicans had any plans for these issues, they had been sitting on their thumbs for the past 2 years, when the Republicans owned the Congress, Senate and Presidency.

Chelloveck, Are you totally blind to the accomplishments of the present President? Shall I compare Odumbo to Trump to enlighten you? Never mind. I have no desire to waste my words on you, because you are not a US citizen and thus could only voter here (illegally) for a Democrat.

Actually we should ask that of all politicians in DC, not just the Democrats. Do any of them have a plan to make America more prosperous? I am shopping real estate and for some strange reason there seems to be a lot of pre-foreclosures popping up. Is this due to the Fed raising rates twice late last year? What is going on. Allegedly there is a housing crisis. I just met with my lender on Friday and we were talking short-sales, that is not the sign of a good economy. What is going on?

Is there a plan to improve healthcare? I question that all the time. Repeal Obamacare was the campaign promises. They repealed the individual mandate. So now one can buy huge amounts for coverage, huge co-pays, huge prescription costs or one does not have to have insurance. Either way if you get ill it is going to hurt you financially. So where is the the grand plan? Does any party have a realistic fix? Can the mess even be fixed? Years ago there was talk about healthcare reform. I sure wish there was reform so healthcare was not such a burden on families.

To M34: I hate to come across as down on our government, but I am. The federal congress and senate, both parties, are completely dysfunctional, and are in it only for themselves. They have zero concrete plans to do anything to improve our country or the lives of the citizens. The liberal side all loathe POTUS Trump because he is not one of the "boys" that make corrupt deals with each other while pretending to accomplish things. The so-called conservative side is just as a bad, with about 95% of them loathing the President, and for the same reason. They are in it for themselves, and only themselves. I mean really: a term or three in either branch and they go from not having a pot to piss in when first elected to multi-millionaire status a few years later. On a salary of roughly $180k yearly. While maintaining a residence in their home state AND in DC. R i g h t..... They are by definition corrupt to achieve that.
Term limits would help a lot. Removing all the corporate money would help too. Removing all the bennies and perks they have voted themselves also. A financial audit of very single member and close family should be done as well, with the result published widely and recorded in the Congressional Record. Followed very shortly by prosecution, trial, and jail.
But - they will never allow the system to be corrected by internal action. It will take something catastrophic to bring about significant change. A "Debt of Honor" event would be an excellent beginning, or a world wide EMP/CME. Something that essentially empties DC...

Don't care about what the Republicans have or have not done.
    What's the alternative?

I found Camilla Harris and Spartacus plan to grow the economy. Don't know how I missed this one and its targeted towards women.
    Legalize prostitution.
That should motivate women voters one way or another.

Just remember when a politician talks reform, about 90% of the time they want to reform ________ so that it will better benefit them selves or their cronies.

Let's pretend for once I don't want a post to turn into a dumpster fire.
if this post was a dumpster it's already over flowing with pallets, dirty old mattresses and tires, please don't throw in a lit road flare.

UncleMorgan I eat vegetables. My friends are not vegetables.

The United States is rapidly devolving into a society of two classes: the poor, and those who own them.

An impassible divide exists and widens daily between the haves and the have-nots as wealth (and the means of producing wealth) become more and more concentrated within a smaller and smaller percentage of the population.

That's fine for the approximate 1% of Americans that own about 43% of the total wealth of America.

It's also ducky for the 19% of Americans that own about 50% of the total wealth of America.

For the bottom 80% of the population, who together own only about 7% of the wealth in America, it's not so hot.

Worse yet, the poorest 20% of the population owns no wealth at all because they are hopelessly in debt. They're screwed.

(Note: These are figures from 2011. Things have gotten worse since then.)

The problem is not just that most Americans live in a state of economic slavery, staggering from paycheck to paycheck under an unbearable burden of debt, but that the slavery is so pervasive that almost no person born or driven into it can escape it.

Even if a person graduated from High School debt-free and immediately found "honest labor", his entry-level wage would not pay more than about 1/4 the cost of even the most frugal lifestyle--for one person.

Kick it up a notch, and the person who graduates from a four-year college with a liberal arts degree and $250.000.00 in student debt isn't going to be able to pay the interest on his debt and afford the same "most frugal" lifestyle.

That's partly because almost all college degrees are functionally worthless, and the entry-level job new graduates can get involve flipping the same burgers as the high-school graduates.

So new college graduates wind up living with Mom & Dad, who managed to accumulate a base of wealth (a home) through 30 years of more or unrelenting labor. They had it easy back then. Unrelenting labor could actually be productive.

Now all of that has changed. The economic chains have been tightened to the utmost. Now every dollar you make you MUST PAY to someone. You work for today only, and gain nothing for your future.

Born in chains, die in chains. Is it any wonder so many choose to live on the dole?

The only way out is between the bars: crime, or exceptional creativity, or the most improbable of lottery-quality luck.

Or a collapse of the present civilization and the eventual rise of, hopefully, a free society.

    For the survivors.

When someone else dictates all of your options: where you will work, what job you will do, how many children you are allowed to have, where and how you will live, what you will eat and how much you are allowed to eat. where and when you are allowed to travel, and what you are allowed to learn--guess what?

    They own you.

I am 100% down on all the government, one side is no better then the other. Some keep saying things are great but what I am reading is something different. Where is the truth? I refuse to say Democrats are 100% to blame. That is not realistic because the Conservatives were in control for 2 years... [chicken]

    Info to make one think:
    • $1.56 trillion in total U.S. student loan debt
    • 44.7 million Americans with student loan debt
    • 11.5% of student loans are 90 days or more delinquent or are in default
Here is an article that list number of retail stores closing. These are lost jobs, These Chains Are Closing Tons More Stores in 2019

    I wonder why?????
Unemployment is low and the economy is booming, but many Americans are struggling to pay their bills.

A record 7 million Americans are 90 or more days behind on their auto loan payments, according to a study from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. That number is a million higher than the total at the end of 2010, a time when unemployment rates hit 10% and “delinquency rates were at their worst” notes the Fed.

In 2017, found that people aged 55 and older account for 20 percent of total filings. That number has doubled since 1994. Even with assistance from Medicare, the average 65-year-old couple faces $275,000 in medical bills throughout retirement.

Pensions and liability, how is your state doing?
Interactive Map of Pension Liability by State and City
Here is a thread on that: Warren Buffett Warns about Unfunded Public Pension Liabilities—Again

And here is a great link- I highly suggest people look and pull up different areas of the economy:
    United States Food Inflation | 2019 | Data | Chart | Calendar | Forecast
    How about existing housing sales?
United States Existing Home Sales | 2019 | Data | Chart | Calendar

Something is wrong, the numbers do not add up. Unemployment is down but could this be because people are working more then one job? I think we as a nation have serious issues and I do not have faith in Washington DC fixing them. I do not think they know how. How does one fix the health care issue? How does one fix the housing crisis? How does one fix the pension underfunded problem?
  15. I was with you till " or a world wide EMP/CME". That would mean the death of humanity. And before I get flamed? think on this. According to the government, there are approx. 450 active nuclear reactors in the world. And another Approx. 250 research reactors. Because all reactors (regardless of type) run at what is called " Near Meltdown Level", The world would be looking at full fledged meltdowns of hundreds of power plants. With no ability to stop them, Unlike cherynoble (sp?). The radioactive particulate matter would fall all over the planet. It is highly unlikely that any living thing would survive. Other then that 1 point? I fully agree with everything else you said. Just my 2 cents. No flame or disrespect is intended.

Very good post with lots of good links.... Thank you.

But, it won't change...ever. The playing field must first change then the playing rules and the ONLY reasonable plan I have EVER seen beside out-and-out revolution is the one recently posted: End corruption. Defend the Republic. | RepresentUs And, while Revolution is the faster way, who is to say it can be fought and won? And, what would the country be like if lost? Personally, I am about to the point I don't give a damn... I got mine so why should I even care? Fed up with the whole damn mess...

The Democrats and the Republicans are one and the same: parasites. They might have slight differences but parasites none the less, feeding off the Republic and its citizens. Should you have any doubts about this then simply asked why the Republicans did nothing those two years when they had full control of Congress. Why? The simply answer is they desire status quo. I believe the Republican parasites are the cause of medical health costs as I believe it is one of their biggest piggy banks. The Democrats has vested interest in Immigration playing a long game....both are parasites with slightly different tastes.

Yes older people are getting destroyed with health care costs. Last time I looked it up people over 60 were the fastest growing bankruptcy group.
We can thank democrats for the health care screwup.
But what are they going to do to fix it?

It seems the only people who benefited were poor or people who don't work. Everyone who works or is retired or though they were going to soon retire gets screwed.

It's all a shit show, politicians taking what they can while they can, screwing the masses in the process and hunkering down in their fully prepped bunkers while the world burns! Politics is nothing but a sham these days, it's a get rich by what ever means you can before the others figure out your plan and beat you to it! There is no grand plan out side of new world order, ( The First Galactic Empire) so they gotta establish their place as masters in this new game, or get steam rolled!
