I just wanted to let you Monkeys in on an experience I had recently: I couple of weeks ago, I put a put a Gen2 handguard on one of my ARs. The handguard is top-notch. This allowed me to finally have the room to put the BUIS on that came with the gun. The BUIS just happened to be Midwest Industries (MI) also. I purchased this AR over 4 years ago and never used the BUIS because of the Aimpoint setup I put on it. I was sighting the BUIS in at the range last week (co-witnessed through the Aimpoint) and noted that the top pivot-pin had worked itself out. I pushed it back in and had no further problems. But, it made me a littler nervous--I wouldn't want this happening when I really needed it. I sent an e-mail to MI telling them what happened and if there was a fix or repair options. I figured they would want me to send it in for servicing. Yesterday, a new BUIS showed up in my mailbox...no questions asked and from best I can tell, I wasn't asked to send the old one back. I like companies that stand behind their products.
