Mrs. Hanzo has been trail running for about a year now. And running for about maybe five. I am proud of her, not just her accomplishments, but for being open to being equipped. When she runs, she uses the whistle/road ID bracelet configuration I put together for her. And she carries the appropriate light(s) and a little multitool. Oh, and a couple of bandanas to go with her water and snacks. When she is on the trail, she will pack more. Today, she is only going to run in about five miles to a spot she wants to clear a little bit, and then run back. She has been using my Hill People Gear Tarahumara pack for about a year now, and she has my old Tramontina machete and a Mora. Most of the clearing will be brush. The Tramontina is much lighter than @Bear's machete, so may be safer for her. Heck, my 93 year old mother uses my Tramontina from time to time in the yard. It has been the most used Hanzo machete so far. It is also the oldest at 20-30 years old.
