Take the total number of Firearms deaths and remove both Suicide and Gang related murders, and your numbers are even more telling! Those #s of firearms in circulation are far below actuality, nearly 50% on the low side!
In 2023 out of the total 46,728 gun deaths, 27,300 were suicides or 58 %. Homicide was 17,927. While the majority of the black deaths are homicide, about 2 / 3 rds of the white deaths are suicide. The major problem as always, isn't the fire arm, its the person holding the fire arm. In respect to race, the chance of being killed by a black if white are also higher than a black being killed by a white. 2019 FBI date shows it about twice as high in the murder convictions.
