@RVHBPG It's a good crowd here! You'll like it. Keep your mind open, listen politely, keep your tongue civil and defend your arguments vigorously with facts... This group tends to burn through commies, leftists, and progressives' tripe faster than a snowball in Hades so...nothing personal as the ultra-right types don't last very long either.

I will risk the wrath and state most here are America First and might vote Republican (at least this last time) but most definitely are independent thinkers, besides, like my old grandmother use to tell me, "...the only thing worse than a Republican in a suit, is a Democrat in a suit..." She never forgave FDR for taking her gold. LOL! Welcome!

Howdy bud. I wasn't going to say anything in case it was just me, but I've come over here for the same reason. Got banned for posting a youtube video with a bad word in it and then publicly saying that was the reason I had to end the thread, lol. Used to be a great forum. I left for a while when life got busy, then went back and it had gone all weird. Must have changed ownership or something, I dunno. Feels like reddit over there now.

Oh well. Hopefully we'll find a new community here.

I have some good friends in a little city South of Gunnison on 149, Lake City. Very beautiful place. Surrounded by no less than five 12,000ft peaks. Done some Elk hunting and Skiing with those guys and gals. Thanks for the Welcome...

Yeah, kind of the same thing for me. when I started there many moons ago it was the best prepper sites around. It was sold to a Mega company I think I heard. You are right, left for a bit due to the ever-changing demands of life. When I went back, I got into trouble for everything. Moderators went Nutz or something. Looking forward to this site. I was raised in the prepper lifestyle. My Pop was born a farmer in Ohio in hard times and when he left to join the Navy. It only reinforced his desire to do all the same things his Mom & Pop had taught him all his life. Kinda rubbed off on me. Thanks for the welcome...

When I went back this time. Two of the Moderators who were fairly close friends had turned into a couple of Primadonna's. That breaks my heart. These were good people I am talking about. Fair and Kind in their Moderations, tough when they had to be. Man, how it has changed. I do like what I have seen here so far. It reminds me of the other board back in the day. You guys keep up the good work and I hope to contribute as much as I can to the site.

SM is like the layers of an onion, the outer part is like the part of an onion you peel off and throw away. It's basically a bunch of old men arguing politics and such. Be patient and keep peeling the layers away to find a wealth of knowledge.
