Well, I went and done it, bought a almost brand new Mahindra Roxor for the Wife to use here at the Ranch instead of the tractor or dozer. So, for those that don't know, the Roxor are Licence built Jeep's out of India, they have held the licence since the end of WW-II and have continued to build new Jeeps on original tooling. Our almost brand new (2023 model) was built during the big bruhaha lawsuit that Jeep had filed, so it's a funky looking rig, ( Jeep LOST that lawsuit to Mahindra) so the newer units can go back to their basic design if they wanted!
Any way, These cannot be licenced or used ON-Road here in the states, BUT, there are tricks to getting around those stupid laws, and the one I have chosen to do is to body swap, so I ordered a new Jeep in Crate ( Also from Mahindra ) and it has just arrived and in perfect condition! Now we start the swap, and then can licence it for road use and the Wife will have her all purpose/goin to town rig!

What makes it all worth the hassle you ask, why in hell go to all the trouble and expense when you could just buy an Old Willys Jeep and run that, Well, the answer to that lies under the hood, and THAT my friends is Mahindra's bomb proof Turbo Diesel 4 banger, of 65 Horses worth, and about 40 MPG on road! That little engine is WAY more reliable and powerful then even the mighty Kubota, and makes more power too for its size, AND there are tons of pretty serious upgrades, you get twist these up over 200 horses with out killing them, and still getting killer fuel economy!

The other cool features are power steering, and power brakes, 4 wheel disk brakes, real deal Dana axles, a Dana 35 rear and Dana 30 up front, and a standard Dana 20 transfer case as well as an automatic transmission, and some models, ( Like ours) have A/C! How bout that for a Jeep CJ-2A!!!
Lastly, pretty much every part known to man that was ever made for the Jeep CJ series will fit on this bugger, so upgrades and customizations abound, you can make these into pretty much anything you could want!

Been on the Diesel Freaks/ Forums for a while now, watching real close as things have been going.
there are tons of aftermarket parts and accessories for the Roxor specifically and now that they have been proven beyond all doubt, The combo of parts and knowledge is amazing!

I already sent off the ECU for the reflash and they had it back to us in 6 days, I also got their big turbo and their intake parts, but I decided to do a different intercooler system and plumbing to fit the CJ-2A body better, and will also build an entire new exhaust system with ZERO emissions add on's! I asked Diesel Freaks if they had done any work to the ECu's now that Emissions are no longer required or enforced, and they sent me one of their brand new tunes and a list of additional mods I can make and stuff I can remove to get rid of all that crap I don't ant or need! My Rig should now be good for about 230 HP, and around 300 Ft Pounds of torque, and still get around 40 MPG on the road! They also took the governor off and included a brand new manual boost controller so in theory, this thing could go 100 mph down the road, though I seriously doubt we would ever take it past 60 mph!

I really would like one of these as I've had a couple of Jeeps before and really liked them but now and around here, they are simply too overpriced and in very high demand so... So, I bought a Kubota side-by-side (UTV), got a good deal on it, had only 600 miles on it. However, I must ask, how much did you pay for your Mahindra Roxor?

Price, I probably shouldn't tell ya!

    Paid $3500.00 for it!
The seller had four of them, a big commercial operation and was not happy with them, so he put them up for sale and replaced them with those little Japanese micro trucks!

We also sold our Dihatau Hi-Jet, intent to replace it with the Roxor before we even found one!

Read somewhere one could get 70 mph out of these babys by disconnecting the odometer cable at the transmission?
Don't know if this is legal since one is a criminal already for driving on the blacktop?

All depends on if you register it and plate it!
When we're done with this one, it will be a 1943 GPW, so according to the state, it's 100% Original Willy's Jeep, so they can only write a speeding ticket.

For disconnecting the speed governor, that can only be done via the ECU reprogram as it's governed electronically!
Not sure in the old mechanical engine Roxors, I would imagine that would be something at the fuel pump similar to how Cummins and other manufacturers do it through their mechanical fuel pumps, most are based on the Mercedes Benz/Bosch design, so that is super easy to do!

I think I paid 15-16K, new, back in 2018. They are legal to drive in the eastern UP on-road (no highways or interstates). Can confirm she’ll do 70 by GPS reading, speedo doesn’t go that high!

On this one, likely an E-Locker in the front, and a tight Posi in the rear, that way the wife doesn't have too much to think about should she get stuck, just flip a switch and power out of it, worst case, she needs to winch, which means she would need to grab the Dozer or................
