New to me boomstick. This one's a dumpster fire. But its double 12ga. I'm thinking concealable, blacked out sawed off, with a full stock.
Hopefully I can repair the stock enough so I don't get impaled when I fire highbrass shells. It's really a pile of crap. I should have bought a stoger like 10 years ago when they would go on sale for $180 to $200.
Yea ,, Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda ,, bought all of them rifles and pistols ya seen in the mail order section of the comic books back in the 60s and early 70s . Hell , 2 grand back then could have stocked a well armed platoon ,, plus ammo . Nice lookin' old double barrel ya got there . Post the finished product when ya can .
Sawed off but then wouldn't it be illegal to actually use it? You need a backup so this one is never taken. Really all you need is a grip which itself could be steel. I was trying to get the attachment for a flaregun that turns it into a shotgun but they were all bought up apparently, of course.
Zinc metal would blow apart , I wouldn't try it , not only wrist bend but somebody's goin to be leaking !!
Sweet man It would look better here with me and you would look better with a boot up dat azz ol boy Nah nice score no kidding!
I actually got to work on it a little. Has a 2.75 inch chamber which is fine. Found the serial number. The forearm is trash, it has been broken and and glued back together at least a few times. Imo it needs a beaver tail style forearm. Make a forearm I am attempting to glue 2 pieces of birch plywood together. It's the most appropriate thing I had on hand. With some really old West Systems epoxy specifically 105 resin and 209 hardener. Because it too was just collecting dust on a shelf. I bought this stuff back around 2008 I think. This stuff is slow AF, that's why I bought it back in the day. It's got a pot time of 40-50 minutes, working time 3-4 hours full cure 20-24hr. I don't like that 5 minute shit. The slow stuff is always stronger. If it's still good I'll use it to repair the stock too. I cleaned the action, just sprayed break cleaner up into the works, all kinds of dirt, rust, old oil ran out. Replaced it with fresh oil.
I think it's an Ithaca clone. I made a big forearm, the splinter forearm always has the shooter putting their hand and fingers on the barrel. Still going to reblue it. I could do a cowboy action shoot and not get burned. After I pay taxes if I don't get raped too bad I'll cut a form1 and Randy weaver the barrel down to 11 or 12 inches.
