Picked this external speaker with folding jack plug up for $1 & tax at Dollar Tree yesterday, and found it works great in my SRF-59 Sony Walkman which I keep in my BOB. So, now when I'm camping with someone else I can ditch the headphones and we can all enjoy the radio. When camping I enjoy late night AM band DX, especially under a star filled sky, and usually can pick up the blow torch AM stations out to 800+ miles on nighttime ionospheric skip. Easy way to keep tabs on weather and events while I'm in the boonies. 002.JPG

The SRF-59 is no longer produced but had gained notoriety as a ultralight AM DX radio with extreme sensitivity, and if you see one at a garage sale or flea market for a reasonable price (was $14.95 new) they are now going for up to $80 on eBay.

Nice little speaker I have a couple and use them with a short cable so I don’t screw up the jack if it falls or...
