Ohio Concealed Carry Law sb-199 passed....we'll see if it stands

Like I told Kasich to his face...wake me when you repeal ALL of this permitting nonsense.

 

It appears to not in any way address reciprocity with other states CCW licensed individuals who visit Ohio, drive thru, come to attend competition firearms matches in the state. Back to the drawing board folks. Consider "Constitutional Carry". What does your Legislature not understand about "Shall not be Infringed"? What does the state of Ohio fear from Law Abiding American Citizens. Do they not understand the statistics that fully prove more guns reduce crime and saves lives. That gun free zones are highly endorsed by criminals for easy pickings of Law Abiding Citizens, and are also Killing Zones for terrorists or those antisocial evil folks who would do us harm.

 

Did Florida become a constitutional carry state? Arizona has been for four or five years.

 

Not Yet unfortunately!
It is wandering around our state legislative process. Good old Marion Hammer, ex president of the NRA a Floridian is spearheading the construction of the bill and prodding legislative members to bring it to the floor. Keep in mind Marion Hammer pretty much single handedly bullied Florida's "Must Issue CCW law back in the 80s". The 1st Must Issue Law for CCW in the Nation. Other's followed suit once ours passed, and one by one states jumped on board. We hope to see "Constitutional Carry" be a new Florida Law in the near future!
