Interesting site, but I would verify the laws myself first! Check out the open carry forum below. Some of these people are nuts to open carry, take for example the people in the big cities of Commiefornia, your just asking for the police to F with you!

Open carry is allowed here in Oregon. I don't think I'd walk through the streets of Portland open carry but have in other areas besides hunting/fishing or hiking through the woods.

Some guy here in Texas is trying to get it restarted. Our 1879 anti-outlaw non-carry law was rarely enforced against the citizenry until the 1950's for the most part. Big cities were different of course, but elsewhere it was ok. Then gradually, DA's start harrassing the public.

Firearms may be openly carried in cars without any license except where localities have made open carry illegal; however, an Oregon concealed handgun permit holder is exempt from all local open carry bans. To our knowledge, only the cities of Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Oregon City, Salem, and Independence have passed loaded firearms bans encompassing all public places.

I know its leagle in MO BUT unlike concealed carry (with a permit) preemption dose NOT apply so local govs can make it illegal. Even in the areas of MO where its not against the law it wouldnt generaly stop the cops from tackeling you and giveing you some batton time, particularly in the cities.
