think I'm getting what has been going on... for some time... in our entire education system... grade school on...

seems to tie in with the college/antifa/BLM movement... and the why of what their doing...

the Constitution is... well... this from a U.S. Senator...

“If you think about what he is really saying there, Sen. Markey has essentially said that our Constitution is racist. And an effort to understand it, understand it’s words at the time they were written is itself racist and bigoted. I can’t think of a statement that has a greater tendency to undermine the foundation of our Constitutional Republic. I hope, expect, and demand that Sen. Markey retract his statement. It is irresponsible; he can’t defend that," Lee said.

DEMOCRATS SAY REPUBLICANS WILL REGRET BARRETT CONFIRMATION, SLAM 'MANIPULATION' OF SUPREME COURT

Markey ripped the judicial philosophy espoused by Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett as lawmakers prepared for her confirmation vote on Monday night.

“Originalism is racist. Originalism is sexist. Originalism is homophobic. Originalism is just a fancy word for discrimination,” Markey wrote on Twitter.

and the threats the left is now making about the right regretting Barrett confirmation... hmmm...

the lies and twisting they're being taught... link follows...

Sen. Lee rips Democratic colleague for 'worst' criticism he's heard yet of Justice Amy Coney Barrett

It's a lot of Marxist BS. From people who never read history books is my guess. It all comes down to people trying to control others.

saw similar over at Contra Costa Community College...

had a sociology instructor that kept crowing about how wonderful Communist China was... and he was twisting and out right lying about so many things...

we got into it... after I related some things I saw in southeast asia...

he dealt with it by offering to give me a solid c if I didn't come to class...

silence the truth kinda thing I guess... had not been back very long and was afraid my anger would get me in trouble...

took his offer... but... finally wrote some letters to some folks that could have done something about it all...

near as I can tell the letters were ignored... seems like they still are... kinda makes ya wonder... is it all working as intended?

never read history books??? disagree... pretty sure they know what's what... about the history they're lying and twisting...

they have to... in order to counter anyone that really knows history...

thing is many students trust these people... with almost a worshipful trust... so the truth about how betrayed they are by these instructors/indoctrinators... hmmm...

trying to reveal the truth makes those betrayed angry at the truth tellers...

guess it makes em feel naive and foolish and they just can't deal with it or don't want too?

"Originalism" seems to be a newly invented word. I've been unable to find anything definitively defining. I sorta think I get it, but it's left to the listener to assume what it means from whoever is using it. Sad statement, sez me, to use a word you don't understand.

I think they are using it as a replacement for constructionist someone who believes the constitution means what it says as written and not an interpretation of how it should mean today . It is the type of Justices we need

You very well could be right about a substitution. But I see you think that's what it is. What some of us old phartes like is less need to assume, and more to be certain. Betcha we get as tired of "originalism" much the same way "virus" is getting over used.

Hiding the true meaning of your message is the oldest game in politics: they're vague, novel, amorphous, and they sound erudite.

This is why Biden goes around saying "We're going to ..." (stop COVID-19|Stop police-involved shootings|Fix the economy||Get everyone a well-paying job|Pump sunshine up everyone's ventral orifice). Those are the promises Democrats make: all future, all "maybe," always "We."

I guess the Founding Fathers must have been collectivist socialists also, The preamble to the US Constitution uses the words "We The people"....and "provide for the common defence, promote the general welfare..."

You make the word "we" sound like a bad thing...the preamble to the US Constitution also uses collective words like our and ourselves.... Definitely a hotbed of socialist activists. Yep the Founding Fathers were loudly affirming, we!

Yup, the times and language are used differently these days. An educational failure, it seems, on the left side of the balance. Perhaps if bidumb had used complete English and said "we the socialists (or communists if you prefer)" there would have been less opportunity for misinterpretation and didacticism.
That said, the founders were most assuredly, as is well known other than just in the US, not leftists. Deliberate misuse and misinterpretation of English is a pretty well known tactic of the didactics and revolutionaries.

All this aggravation has little to do with the issues they use, but the division it creates. It is the communist agenda.
