I was replacing the batteries on my Pelican Model 2430 MityLite Plus flashlight and the threaded end of the body snapped off. I liked the older style light that used double A batteries instead of CR123s which can get pricey. Pelican has a limited lifetime warranty, so I sent them an email through their warranty portal yesterday and got an email with an RMA number today from them. I'll send it off tomorrow and give a report on the progress as it comes.
Oddly enough, lately everything I touch breaks. I've been avoiding the bathroom for awhile now not wanting to take any chances.
Got an email from Pelican today. They are sending me a new light, but charging me five dollars to ship it to me. This seems steep considering the receipt they emailed stated the flashlight costs $26.95 and I spent over $5.00 to mail it back. On the plus side, the turn around time was really fast, but I think they should not have charged me for the shipping since I paid to ship it to them.
