Pelican Customer Service

I was replacing the batteries on my Pelican Model 2430 MityLite Plus flashlight and the threaded end of the body snapped off. I liked the older style light that used double A batteries instead of CR123s which can get pricey. Pelican has a limited lifetime warranty, so I sent them an email through their warranty portal yesterday and got an email with an RMA number today from them.

I'll send it off tomorrow and give a report on the progress as it comes.

 

Some people are just rough on equipment....hahaha!

 

Oddly enough, lately everything I touch breaks. I've been avoiding the bathroom for awhile now not wanting to take any chances.

 

Yea, don't go in there alone, your liable to break something off!

Got an email from Pelican today. They are sending me a new light, but charging me five dollars to ship it to me. This seems steep considering the receipt they emailed stated the flashlight costs $26.95 and I spent over $5.00 to mail it back. On the plus side, the turn around time was really fast, but I think they should not have charged me for the shipping since I paid to ship it to them.

 

Ha, Their thinking, Aw Hell its wideym breaking $hit again,Well he needs too pony up for postage!

 

I think that is fair, 5 bucks for shipping. ten bucks for a new light!
