I know this sounds stupid but if I remember correctly some plants don't play well with each other and I'm wanting to make sure to give these plants the best chance.

I'm growing them on a raised bed that has wheels I'm in a 8 zones so we get lots of sun but I wanted to keep it small as the wife and I this is really our first time trying to grow something other then our children and dogs!

don't know where you are in zone 8. Coastal SC zone 8 I have tried every variety of raspberries and no luck--strawberries I can grow big growers plant in November for a spring crop.

I'm seeing recommendations to not grow them together and recommendations to grow them together. Sounds like it's your call. The reason not to is if one gets a disease, the other will likely get the same disease. Let us know what you do and how it works out or you.
