One of our hometown hero's was featured recently on Mike Rowes new facebook show. Ginger is a wonderful woman, one hell of a cook and has a heart of gold....one tough cookie as well. Her restaurant that she recently sold, was an amazing place to eat and have fellowship. Not enough of these kind of people in our world!! Mike did a most excellent show on her activities and provided her a great gift to further serve first responders wherever they may need a warm meal. I know some don't use facebook, but the link is below if interested. Ginger the soup lady helps feed first responders on the front line. How can you help your local heroes? https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1958840174387243 Soup Ladies | Warming the world one bowl at a time…
Good to see others are "at work" helping others. They are few and far between. Below is a article from a local group that does a lot more than the article covers. They also feed the Troops at a local armory as they cycle through training, provide assistance to vets, have a van for Vet's trips to the VA Hosp a hundred miles away, Christmas Meal/Party for Troops'and family with gifts for the kids, and a lot more.
