I have made these from round Teflon and a mill. That is a pretty expensive way to go but last forever in the home as it is easy to slide on concrete or tile.

Uni-strut is an electrician's answer to the erector set, big toys for big boys. The only draw back has been rust or scratches to a floor.

I just received a set and they are an rubberized extrusion over a galvanized washer. This will finish out a long term project in the storage area.Well done and a good investment.

Uni-strut what it is.Unistrut Products: Channel Sections and Fittings | Unistrut Service Co.

This part is an inexpensive answer to a needed part.
    Unistrut Foot
    • Lightweight, Strong, and Durable
      • Fits standard size unistrut, not low profile
      • Contains a washer to prevent wear on the cap
      • Prevents vibration and wear on the floor
      • Quality made in the USA!!
    Found on Amazon.

You could also just hammer drill in an L-bracket and have a solid connection.

    Easy for you to say!

Maybe you can explain the holes in the Ceramic tile to my DW.
Plus the distance is too close for the install if using Ls as the set up will not have any open channels to the out side

With luck the risers and some cross members will be in by Monday night, if the Uni-strut gets here early enough Monday.

This will be for a rack/shelf over the washer&dryer.

  5. HK user was dead on when he called Unistrut an erector set for big boys (that never grew up), that stuff is incredibly versatile. There are dozens of bolt on accessories that allow it to be used for everything under the sun.

And in stainless steel it is incredibly durable.
Used stainless uni-strut for a silver recovery project for a client.
As well all control boxes and J Boxes were in stainless.
    Boy did it gleam!
And when the client found out how much silver had been going down the drain each month they were happier than could be.
The install got the City inspectors off His arse.
