The upper of the AERO 6mm ARC was just delivered, back ordered for months. Not a problem I collected the Ammo and Mags while waiting for the delivery, they are now out of stock again. What I lack is the scope and mount which is suppose to be here tomorrow. Happy trails all, I have some fun to start on.
First I'll dig out the dust cover made by squirrel that indicates the caliber. Picture in a bit, then to dig out other parts and decide which lower I'll use with a custom trigger, most likely it will be an Anderson or a Colt. That new style Aero upper cover is really slick, not like the old cheese graters. The 18 inch barrel is bead blasted leaving the satin dull finish that will accept what ever camo I decide. Got to wait a while as family is here and we have some cattle things to do before the rain tomorrow and cold temps. Scope is from PSA and matches the long range expected for these .243/6mm round. I have one of these on the shelf in case the other gets lost. Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24 GEN2 Riflescope w/ AR-BDC3 Reticle & Vortex Sport Cantilever 30mm Ring This is a cheapie but will do for now. I like the idea of the Squirrel Daddy ejection port covers. I just ordered several, now if magpul would make replaceable bottom plates caliber marked I could get rid of the elastic bands.
I have the same scope with great results mine is on a Remington 700 varmint in .243. See results look left.
