A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by Gun Owners of America (GOA) secured release of information surrounding a form which was used by the FBI in an effort to secure forfeiture of Second Amendment rights.

Ammoland.com warned of the FBI effort in 2019, after GOA discovered the “NICS Indices Self-Submission Form” in December 2019.

The form gave Americans the opportunity to “voluntarily” give up their Second Amendment rights, allowing no means by which the forfeited rights could be resecured.

GOA filed a FOIA suit for information related to the form and its use by the FBI.

On September 6, 2022, the Daily Caller reported that GOA’s FOIA request revealed that the FBI actually took the form to the homes of some Americans, presenting those Americans with the option of giving up their Second Amendment rights:

The forms were presented by the FBI to people at their homes and in other undisclosed locations, according to bureau documents unearthed through the Freedom of Information Act by the firearm rights group GOA…At least 15 people between 2016 and 2019 signed the secret forms, which ask signatories to declare themselves as either a “danger” to themselves or others or lacking “mental capacity adequately to contract or manage” their lives.

On September 7, 2022, Breitbart News spoke with GOA VP Erich Pratt about the FBI effort and he said:

This self-reporting form became a tool for the FBI to pressure law-abiding Americans, who have committed no crimes, to voluntarily forfeit their Second Amendment rights. The agency would put the squeeze on people to surrender their rights, based simply on hearsay evidence. And then, just like Red Flag laws, a gun owner could lose their gun rights without ever appearing before a judge or jury.

Congress must investigate to ensure that this system and any forms tied to it have been destroyed, and most importantly, the officials responsible must be held to account for their actions which have betrayed the trust of the American people.

Pratt also noted, “This is just the latest example of the FBI going rogue and abusing their authority to the detriment of Americans’ Constitutionally guaranteed rights. Given the Bureau’s unwillingness to answer questions or cooperate with GOA’s investigation, coupled with a total lack of Congressional oversight, this system is likely to have been misused — and the FBI knows it.”

The old USSR used the technique of finding people mentally deviant and sent them off to the gulags. Didn't have to prove anything.. In the new and improved US system, mental illness has spread to racial biases, domestic abuse or fear of such, sexual crimes, child porn, financial crimes, domestic terrorist, etc. The damage is done in the declaration of the crime, ie being Borked,; in public.

Over 100,000 overdose deaths, why don't we have dozens of murder charges applied to the dealers and suppliers of the drugs? Oh it might seem to be racially biased to a certain subgroup in our culture, I find it an ironic fact that the government will hound and find child porn and convict a person and destroy them, but doesn't seem to even look for a supplier that sells a drug that kills dozens in a short period..

You can be audited if a neighbor turns you in for living a lifestyle that your stated income doesn't seem to support, but no one questions where St George and his brothers got their incomes to live in the style they did. Selling individual smokes is right up there with a little tin box you put your change in each night as a source of thousands per month.

Don't know what has changed, but as a kid in the 1940's living rural Minnesota, I lived in an 80 year old house that had never had locks installed on the doors. The whole problem seems to be a cultural thing or a lack of such. The government is of course trying to solve all the problems by establishing their control over everything, and unlike Hitler, Stalin, and Mao, they either have or are developing the tools and techniques to enforce their system by controlling the financial system, freedom of movement, thought police, and all the other goodies listed in the new organizers bible, 1984 and BRAVE NEW WORLDS.

Here in New Hampshire, I would at the moment I would give the republicans a real chance of losing in the balloting for the house and senate. The mud sling by the candidates in the primary, funded by both the democrats and the republicans, may well lead to a selection that one wing of the party and many of the independents will not vote for,.Alaska without the ranked choice system, just artful manipulation of the voter with an avalanche of good feelingsd vs bad feelings

 

Most of the people the irs audits are republicans or darker skinned.
If your state is mostly white and a blue state, virtually no audits.

Take new Mexico for example, very blue, also very brown, therefore very audited.
Michigan, very blue, very white, almost no audits.

 

The only rights you can lose are the ones you've given away freely. If they can be taken away then they are not rights, they are privileges. So what about people forcing you to do something at gun point? Same thing applies. You have to be willing to die for freedom or you don't really have it.

 

That's how you enslave fat lazy ignorant people who want nothing more than video games, pot, and free money. Let's see how that works out for those slobs that I am ashamed to call my countrymen.
