Nice! Unfortunately the original P6/225 mags don't fit it.

Yes and list is about eight times the price of the West German P6 police surplus pistols.
MSRP $1,122 (Contrast Sights), $1,236 (Night Sights)

maybe of the original price back a few years ago. The surpluses are going for 350 - 450 currently.
call it 1200 .. you could get a few of them surplus models or 1 new one.

I'll go with surplus and spend the diff on holster, mags and ammo.

BTW, you can do an SRT on the P6/225 for about 60 bucks from Brownells. Just sayin'

But the new one is really pretty!

Whats the difference between this model and the 226 I sometimes carry. I should have bought spare mags for it a few years back when they were merely high and not outrageous.

I went with the 226/229 srt and a reduced hammer spring (man did that change the DA pull)
the 220 kit will provide you with an additional decocking lever that I didn't need. I just needed the safety lever and sear.

Hardest part was R&Ring the hammer spring. One wouldn't think that a 26# spring would be too hard to compress .. Lol was I wrong. the 17# replacement wasn't easy either. Really need a third hand to make it easier. I used a vice to hold the hammer strut while compressing the spring and inserting the hammer strut roll pin.

while you have it disassembled, might as well replace the Recoil spring too ;)

It looks like the new P225 is slightly shorter.

Oh and when you are done .. you are going to think you have a brand new firearm.
that reset is so nice and the DA trigger break will surprise you.

I've put about 100 rds down range since the upgrade. I'm quite happy with the results especially with first shot DA and double tap.

Yep, the new one is about .2 inches shorter OAL with a .3 inch shorter barrel.

The P6 looks like one of the real bargains in the surplus market.

Even considering they are about 2x more now than they were about 5 years ago!
Please note though that the early P6's are finicky on Hollow Points. A number of the Personal Defense HP's will fail to feed without a feedramp rework and polish. replacement barrels with the redesigned feedramp geometry resolve the issue.

for earlier barrels, test test until you find one that your gun feeds reliably EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!

Thanks to the replies on this thread I picked up a Parts kit for the P225 from Sig Sauer and the hammer springs from Wolff Gunsprings
So with the SRT kit a bit of a rebuild for my P225's.

Kits include: Decocking Lever Spring, Slide Catch Lever Spring, Trigger Bar Spring, Recoil Spring, Slide Pins and Grip Screws. NOTE: Kits for P220, P225, P232 and P245 also include washers with the grip screws.

    @VisuTrac

The P6/P225 factory mags are in short supply and usually around $40 I picked up four at $26 each from the link below and they were in good shape and work well.

Used factory Sig Saur magazine 225 p225 P6 : Pistol Magazines & Pistol
    Clips at GunBroker.com

The same seller has a Swiss issue P6 for sale I have never seen a Swiss issue P6 a bit beat up but still interesting.'
