Our Founders were wise men and they were concerned about exactly the circumstances in which we find ourselves.
They were thinkers. People today rely on their phone and the internet for their intelligence, back then people used their minds...
More importantly the Founders were asking the right questions while planning all of our futures! Brave men to have taken it upon them selves to create such a system, one based on the people and not the central Gov!
All that and the best we could do is fall asleep at the wheel. My head will hang very low when I meet our Founders in the afterlife.
The founders in some cases were self educated... however the education they had was what is now called the classic western education IIRC... covers greece rome orange free state... and many western nations their society's and civilizations... they had much to draw on and fully understood what a Democracy was... they refused Democracy considering it a tyranny of many over the few... and selected a representative Republic with the power centered on... or in... the People... and insisted the people be armed... this was so the people could... if necessary... retain their freedom... and Government... our form of Government is possibly the best so far created by mankind... nothing really wrong with it... except we have perhaps allowed those in power too free a playing field... and IMHO it has been slowly usurped over a period of time by people bent on power and wealth over everything else...
some are I guess... but not enough of em maybe? and ya got that psycho thing where humans will accept a lot of abuse before they finally pop... and many of em have been mislead... I guess you could say many of our younger folks have been betrayed by their educators? frog meet pot of slowly brought to a boil water?
