Some eggcellent ideas....
Now I've gotta go make some eggs!
Lots of great ideas! But one note!
DO NOT use cooking spray on non stick surfaces! It will form a hard yet porous surface that defeats the non stick properties of your pan, and is almost impossible to remove! The guy in the vids is a chef in a commercial kitchen. He's not buying those pans.
Thanks for the advice....Sometimes "monkey see, monkey do" isn't such a good thing to do, if the reasoning for the practice is faulty.
I use bacon grease to cook with .
except for boiling water and making soups we pretty much use cast iron cooking for everything.
now, I skipped some of the videos as they were things I would do, or already know. That being said i didn't see the simplest thing, making hard boiled eggs, that peel easily. Just bring the water to a boil first, then add the eggs and boil for 12-13 min, when done put the eggs into ice water until cool.
we've tried letting the eggs sit for weeks (wifes idea) adding vinegar, baking power, etc. to the water. The method above works the best.
