Put some cleats on that ramp before your nose hits the deck come ice season. Visitors are cuties, no doubt. I've had some of their relatives pass thru recently; my back yard is WELL fertilized.
We had a normal winter here... Spring has been here for about a month now, and the snow level is another 1000ft above this location... Notice not much green, yet though... The ramp doesn’t collect much ice in the winter.... and has a grid of steel expanded metal that fits on it in the winters...
No photos, but we have had at least 4 big Owls here every night, and at least one Snowy Owl two nights in a row! Crazy, never seen so many Owls in one place at a time! We usually only have the one Snowy Owl who hangs out in our big oak! We also have a couple of Pygmy Owls and lots of Red Tailed Hawks!
Yeah, we get a lot of Whitetail also... Yours have fatten up already, must be good eats around there. The wife has the deer trained around here, about a dozen or so, that whenever she walks out the door they come running thinking she'll give them a handout... Oh! And, the Turkeys are back as well already...
I haven't been drawn for anything in three years. I still have the deer draw coming. It's not hard to imagine hungry people poaching. there just isn't that much game here and out of staters pay more for hunting here. So they get tags easier. Unit 10.
