remember that movie the island? rich folks had clones for spare parts. remember the artificial uterus going on sale next year? what is the percentage of human dna in a genetically altered pig to still be human, have human rights,,, or not? i think we settled on 60%, so 60% pig 40% human you are legaly spare parts. or with this plan 100% human but brain dead.,,, is brain dead really dead. is there a moral pathway to any of this being ok. looks like it will happen in some form.

I do wonder when a person will be able to clone a body part, like a liver or even their heart. We don't hear much about this and I wonder why... People die constantly waiting for donors and/or die from their immune system reacting to a donor organ. Also, the drugs they take to keep them alive after an organ transplant are known to cause cancer so... So, where is this technology.

If compatible parts were readily available, there would be no need for anti-rejection drugs.

I fear to admit that you are correct. It's a sad world we live in... So, my little friend of 9-years-old who had a liver transplant since she was 2 or 3, will undoubtedly die of cancer as a young adult.
