This morning started out like many other mornings.. The dog wanted to eat and go outside. I needed to get my son ready for school etc etc. I noticed my dog acting really squirrel'y and running around like a jack-ass; wanting to hide under my desk. He likes to sleep under my desk any way, and he is a jack-ass so I didn't think much of it.. bu the behavior continued and he's still doing it. Odd, I thought. Then I take my son outside to get on the school bus. About 5 minutes later we saw a lot of birds fly over head.. I thought "Wow, that's a lot of birds.. " and they just kept coming... for like 5 minutes.. about a 1 mile WIDE stretch of birds flying ... NORTH!!.. there must have been about 15k+ birds heading in the wrong freaking direction. I've NEVER seen that many birds fly over head like that and certainly not NORTH when the weather just got really cold. Guys, when I say a lot of birds.. I mean it. I wish I had my camera with me but I kept thinking "By the time I get it, it'll be over".. I should have gotten it. If it took me 2 minutes to get it, I still wouldn't have missed the show. Dog acting weird.. birds flying the wrong direction ... call me paranoid, but I'll be "watching the news" today.
