THIS is why Form 4473 should NOT list the firearm. If it needs to be checked to see if it's stolen then that needs to be a separate form and function

They also have documented that he had the gun in the car out of state. Its gone too far. Treasonous violations to the Constitution in that video:

    2nd
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

    4th
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

    5th
"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

This is harassment for being a gun owner. Plain and simple.

An argument I am seeing pop up more and more from the leftist is that the Second Amendment was meant to be read with the 3rd amendment to give the second amendment context. Leaves me scratching my head but somehow their logic or lack of makes sense to them.

I will never understand the thinking or lack of the liberal left spouts off. The left will fight both and rail against the death penalty saying it is cruel and unusual punishment (tried and convicted murderers) and they have gotten the death penalty stopped in those liberal States. Those same liberals in those States have fought to expand abortion to the point of birth. Yet they don't view that as cruel and unusual punishment ---no crime committed other than being conceived.
They (liberals) will use any kind of ill conceived argument to circumvent the 2nd amendment. What frightens me is we have one off these on the SC who can't define a woman lord only knows what else she can't define. I think the words of the 2nd amendment though very clear are beyond her IQ rant over

Don't forget, several states have registries, despite the law, Washington State being one, and OryGun keeps one for at least 5 years, though we know they have violated the law several times!

All handguns are registered in Michigan.

Las Vegas has a gun registry. All handguns - you needed to carry the card with your piece when I was living there. Cops cut zero slack.

I like the thought the left has that if we just remove the guns from the population the murder rate will go to 0. Well if the rule of law is so successful, how come we have about 100,000 deaths a year due to drug overdoses. Drugs are illegal, thus there should be no deaths due to drugs. Perhaps it is time to start blaming those committing the crimes, guns, drugs, theft, non payment of child support, etc.

NPR was going on and on about gun deaths in Mo. All due to it having almost no state laws against guns, but ignoring Brown and the Ferguson effect, that makes it almost impossible to have law enforcement do anything without massive BLM demonstrations. The police basically have decided that is safest and best career choice to just let them kill themselves off and concentrate on the non black areas..

I was born and raised in Delaware.
Left in 1976 and that video just reminded me of why. Two words, Police State.

I was stopped by the Delaware State Police in my car when I was a teenager, no infractions, no violations, no probable cause. Finally the officer alluded to a "safety check" after seeing my valid driver's license and verifying vehicle registration. Turn on the headlights, turn signals, windshield wipers - everything worked, no broken lenses or mirrors or safety equipment, he had nothing, no reason to stop me, not even any cracked glass, no window stickers - yep, that'll get you a ticket in Delaware.

After I left the state for a few years, heard a report saying that the Supreme Court had struck down as unconstitutional the law that allowed Delaware State Police, or any law enforcement for that matter, to stop anyone for no reason at all.

They're a nanny state and had been going back at least to 1970, probably long before that. I doubt little else has changed other than that particular law.

    I'll never go back.

Do TPTB have any idea just how many guns have no paper trail, purchased before 1968, sold, stolen, gifted, traded, etc.. There are people that have guns that have been passed-down from generation-to-generation. There are war souvenirs, and US military weapons sent home one piece at a time. I, myself, sold almost all of my guns back during the Great Recession, and I have no idea where those guns are now, and unless the present owners come forward neither will the Feds!

A lot of old farts have built kit guns, have guns that were gifted to them last sold before 1900, inherited, traded for, etc, and are in bad health and are dying or have died and did not list their guns or file a report of their ownership with the state. Good luck going to the graveyard and questioning them or finding them sensible enough to question.

they'll attempt to pull a Canada.
First ban assault weapons because of a mass shooting.
Then ban semi auto handguns because of a mass shooting
Then ban hunting rifles and revolvers because they are still killing folks with these too.
    Shotguns will probably be last.
actually if they'd ban the retail sale of ammunition that isn't consumed at a certified shooting range it would be more effective. Granted some of you here wouldn't be effected as you already have enough ammo for about 5 generations of your kin.
But the average person would be like MadMax trying to dig out a shotgun shell which was a few pellets short to stop the hoard member.

Don't think for a second that Big Gretch doesn't have a list of long guns and their owners in the State as well, that gets updated with info from the ATF regularly.

One can still do parking lot deals for long guns in the state.

The ban on FireArms Registry is only for the Federal Gov… States can pass any such Statute, they choose, but Fear of Voter Reprisals, keep them to a minimum…

Thankfully we can here as well. Over the years I've bought many firearms from guys in the parking lot of a gun show, replied to an ad in the local paper or trader and off of Armslist. There is a trend over the last few years that many sellers now require to see a CCW or state drivers lic and require the buyer to sign a bill of sale or will not sell to a person otherwise. That is their choice, and while I personally see no problem in it, many do. The buyer is trying to CYA in the event the weapon is used in a crime sometime in the future. Most ads mention this beforehand. When responding to these types I produce my ID and FFL and put these weapons in my book for resale.

Years ago, I went round-and-round with an Alabama Beverage Control agent, he wanted to know who the store's guns were "registered to" and me telling him that they were "owned by" the owners. He kept insisting that they had to be "registered to" someone and me telling him that no they weren't. Finally, I got him to understand that it is illegal for the Federal government to have a registry and that Ala-Freaking-Bama will never have a gun registry (state officials like their jobs, and love breathing too much)! He asked how I could prove that the guns were legally mine to own/possess, I told him that anyone that could show a superior claim to the guns were welcome to them, but that possession was 9/10ths of the law and that we had all of the serial numbers written down in a safe place. Had two S&W .38 DA revolvers and a sawed-off double barrel behind the counter that night.

I am firmly convinced that one must have only the minimum of active brain waves to even be considered for employment by the ABC.
Years ago when my BiL committed suicide in our guest bedroom, two of these morons were the 1st on the scene. I found out later they like to show up at these type of scenes just because they can. Anyways, they were very pushy and arrogant telling me they were coming in to secure the scene and any weapons on site.
I told both of them in no uncertain terms that there was already one dead body in the house, I'll make 3 if you try to enter my home until after the proper LEO's show up. Long story short, the local sheriff is a family friend and went to school with my wife and her brother. After informing him what was said, he along with the state investigator told both loudly to, "Git the fuck up outta here and leave folks alone. You are not needed nor wanted." They were escorted to their car and left.

There were some that were good guys, and there were some that were arrogant pushy SOBs. My Father, said that he came close to killing one of them one night, but didn't cause it might adversely affect our licensing! This SOB came into the store and demanded that my Father, who was running the store alone, patrol the parking lot and check IDs! My Father told him that he wasn't going to do it and if he wanted it done to do it himself, and to go to hell afterwards. We had it all taped on our security cameras. A few days later, I was at the ABC Warehouse/Store buying liquor and asked the manager if they patrolled the parking lot and he said, that if they left the store that they could be fired! Like a lot of LEOs they have NO common sense but were issued a rulebook that is their holy book! I was lucky to have spent almost all of my working life employed in small family-owned businesses. I would never have made it in military, government or corporate settings. Example, today at work I asked a manager if I could temporarily move some pallets of merchandise into another part of the warehouse to give us more room to break-down the pallets. The answer was, NO that is against the rules! Nothing could be moved, just do the best that you can! Thank GOD that I'm not a manager! I don't know how they sleep at night, scared to death of breaking or bending a rule, scared to death of not meeting goals and expectations. I have been a business manager and owner, and I had more authority that they will ever have. They are just scapegoats in waiting!
