I picked up a free copy the other day. I read the original edition and thought the story was good but the book had some problems. This new edition is great. Helluva quality change from the first one. This stinking book kept me up all night until I was finished. Full of action, and has a really decent plot. It is packed with survival info.

I got mine for free the other day, but it looks like it is 2.99 at amazon now. There is a paperback version as well.

    SPOILER:

Basically the hero Joe Anderson misses getting fragged by the gov. The gov is on a depopulation mission, and gets help from the UN, but only by countries who hate us. Joe and his buddy Zeb fight back.

Hopefully I didn't ruin it too much. Lots of twists and turns in this one.
