I woke up this morning and did my usual tooth brushing and I noticed when I looked downward that the bubble that was in my left eye from my retina reattachment surgery has gone away! HOORAYYYYY!! It has been getting smaller and smaller every day. The last week or so it went from pencil eraser size to pin head size and this morning, to nothing. What a relief. Unfortunately, my healing process is not done yet. The sight in my left eye is getting blurred more and more. I figure this is due to cataract formation, which the Dr. predicted. When it reaches a certain point, I'll have it taken care of. So, still a ways to go, but at least now I can go over the pass to El Paso, TX whenever I want. I still can't fly, though. Anywho, I just thought I'd share the good news. Kajun
Good news man. My father had both retinas detach, one a few years after the other. THis was back in the 70s. The first one they froze back on, the second they welded back on with a laser. His vision, he said, was still distorted and remained that way. I Imagine that today the methods have been greatly refined and that a full recovery is much more likely.
