Sounds like a good way to get into radio and a cheap way to have emergency comms for local contacts. Love the idea of sdr as a concept. Kind of a swiss knife sort of tool. Not excellent for any one thing, but able to do several things and compact. Have little feeling in my hands and they don't really work well to pick up small items from a flat surface. Multi tool has those funky pliers. They work fine for picking up small items, grabbing foil sealing tops of pill bottles etc. Can see this doing same thing in local comms. Thank you for sharing. Even if present chip crazy makes it a dream, I like reading about other peoples dreams.
This looks like the perfect little package to have in an emergency. I will definitely get one after I hear if its reliable and it has been in production a while.
Since it is a kit, "you" will be the primary determinate in reliably.....most every thing else on the board is pre-soldered.
