I have enjoyed Glen's research videos over the years. The one about George Soros was spectacular. Anyway, yeah.... If Trump can't end up getting the job done, Patriots are going to have to take back our Government and really clean house and restart. Otherwise, our Govt and Politicians have become so dirty and corrupt they will destroy our country, seeking to enrich and empower themselves. One piece of legislation I would love Trump to push through is Term Limits for everyone in the House and Senate. No more career Politicians that enter office surviving off their salary, only to serve for 20-30 years and retire with $20 million in the bank. Dirty bastards.
Politicians claim they need 2 residences one in their home district and one in DC. Well barracks are good enough for our soldiers (was when I was in) so barracks for our politicians in DC should be good enough.
$20 million is on the low side, many have grabbed far more. Insider trading, backroom deals, corporate and foreign aid kickbacks ("ten percent for The Big Guy"), it really adds up. Whoever said "crime doesn't pay" never met a politician.
Yeah, I couldn't watch this because I know how they do it and all it would do is make me furious, upset my breakfast. What I find troubling is not that DOGE is finding fraud after fraud, because we've known for decades this was happening, but all these career politicians who are acting shocked at the findings. It happened on their watch, and they knew it was happening - yet - they did nothing, actually helped it happen in most cases, and they are still there. Yes, there are a few that are not guilty, but the majority certainly are. I just heard even old barmaid AOC is now worth a few million. Gosh, she hasn't been there long, but salaries must be good. I am unconvinced how this all is going to turn out. Unlike most, I still am unsure if this 'cleaning house' will be enough, allowed to be continued or actually happened. Besides, finding it and stopping it are two different things and certainly stopping it from happening again is almost impossible. This is America's last chance at righting the ship yet and if it cannot overcome all the obstacles they are throwing in its path - well - it will indeed be over and soon. One way or another, we will know for this is it, end of the road, end of the game. Anyway, I am not convinced how this is going to turn out and certainly don't know how they are going to stop it from happening again...because it will. EDIT: Democratic Republics are strange things... just think, if this was a Monarchy, we could simply lop off the heads of some of these criminals (aka politicians) and by doing so really slow down the fraud to a trickle. Pity...I would like to see that.
Basically politicians, corporations, lobbyists and the laws/regulations are basically designed to take your hard earned money and and line their pockets. It's been going on for .. well forever. They've just got really good at it over the centuries. Only way out is to live on BLM land, sail in international waters, an uninhabited island or jungle and live free. But with that comes no services, healthcare, food, clean water .. gotta do it on your own. Living free isn't easy. So pick your poison.
I'm hopeful for Trump and Co. killing a bunch of the roaches... but I'm still of the opinion The People are gonna wind up having to eradicate them properly... like we do all roaches... The fundamental problem is a moral one... and I'm certain it will be a couple generations before and IF our cultural morality pendulum swings back and self-corrects to some sort of societal moral equilibrium.
Take their yearly salary and holdings multiply by 1.5 x years in office.... Anything above that figure confiscate and return to help pay of the debt of the government. Lets see 175,000x 1.5 =$ 10,500,000 So your worth is $70,000,000 You need to reimburse a total of $59,500,000 just in cash not counting property holdings.
Once those folks got into elected office figured out how to 'Legally' prosper and make themselves and their families wealthy, you think they are going to give it up? Not a chance. They've put in legal loopholes, passed laws and regulations that say they can do it. Is it right? hell no. We going to be able to convince them to roll it back? again hell no. They've gained power through greed, laws, blackmail, backroom deals with corporations and themselves. It's not just here in the states. It's everywhere. It's not just the elected. It's everyone. It's human nature. Take a look the company you work for ... kinda looks the same. Take a look at your family .. kinda looks the same. Work and family typically aren't as egregious as politics ... but the same power dynamic exists. Welcome to the punch.
^^^^^^ Exactly what @VisuTrac said and why I am not convinced that even though Trump and Musk are doing good work, in the end it will change nothing because they will simply do it again, and again, and again... Why shouldn't they since there are no repercussions and the payout is unbelievable! This country is massively wealthy and if the money was managed with competence and honesty people would actually see just how unbelievable rich, we all are. And, it is not just politicians. Look at the pharmaceutical industry and the cost of medicine in this country compared to other countries, even standard drugs like antibiotics. Why do they cost so much more? Bottom line - because they can charge whatever they want and whatever the market will pay or put another way, whatever they can get away with. Free market. How about insurance companies? The list goes on and on... But politicians are indeed a special case. Why? Because we elect them to support and lead us, lead our country and they use this to advance themselves and the hell with the country.
