I have for sale a transferable Ruger Mini-14 machine gun. This appears to be a Pearl Manufacturing conversion.

This rifle is the original 180 series and was also made in 1976 and bears the bicentennial marking. It comes with the original wooden upper hand guard as well as the improved version that also shrouds the charging handle action. In addition it comes with six Ruger 20 round magazines as well as a standard magazine and a spare bolt. Note that the bolt must be head spaced in the event that the original ever fails.

The rifle is in very good condition but is not a safe queen, so there are a few imperfections and the standard wear marks you will find on a forty year old rifle. I am willing to touch those up while the NFA paperwork is being processed, or will leave as-is if that is your preference. The price will be the same either way.

This is an exceptional stealth machine gun having the appearance of a typical farm rifle when using the 5 round magazine and will not attract the potentially unwanted attention caused by carrying an AR-15 style weapon.

I am asking $8,500 for the rifle. This is a fair price for this rifle based of previous auctions. There is currently a similar rifle on auction on gunbroker that has a starting bid of $10,500. Purchaser to pay all fees including the $200 tax stamp.

You must be a resident of a state where is is lawful to own a machine gun and transfer will follow the lawful procedure.

The following 37 states currently allow ownership of legally transferable machine guns: AL, AR, AK, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, ME, MD, MI, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NJ, NV, NH, NM, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WV, and WY.

    Thanks for looking!

The hallmark of the Pearl Manufacturing conversion is that the rifle has the "giggle switch" selector just like the full auto M-14E2. The conversion also works the same way as the M-14E2, just scaled to fit the Mini-14

    Le giggle switch:

A friend owns a Ruger AC556, the factory machine gun. I have played with it a few times and had some issues with it. I have heard good things about this particular conversion. Wish I had the change to invest in it but right now, priorities have moved towards getting my boat back in Bristol.

IMO this is the best Mini-14 based machine gun design. I don't have any personal experience with the AC556, but I like that the mechanism in this rifle can be completely removed if needed. I usually store it and the bolt separate from the rifle in case of theft.

There is always another backhoe - these are pretty hard to find... If it helps I checked with Santa and he said it was OK.

Just kidding - do what makes the best sense for you.

Well this gives me motivation to scrap or sell all the stuff I have been to lazy to deal with.

My wife said she is not paying for it. So that's not a no.
