I guess it has come to this

You've been on vacation for two weeks, you come home, and your
basement is infested with raccoons. Hundreds of rabid, messy,
mean raccoons have overtaken your basement. You want them gone
immediately so you hire a guy.
A pro. You don't care if the guy smells, you need those raccoons gone
pronto and he's the guy to do it! You don't care if the guy swears,
you don't care if he's an alcoholic, you don't care how many times he's
been married, you don't care if he voted for Obama, you don't care if
he has plumber's simply want those raccoons gone! You
want your problem fixed! He's the guy. He's the best. *Period*.
That's why Trump is looking better and better to me. Yes, he's a bit of
an ass. Yes, he's an egomaniac, but I don't care. The country is a
mess because politicians are incompetent, the Republican Party is
two-faced & gutless, and illegal's are everywhere. I want it all fixed!
I don't care that Trump is crude. I don't care that he insults people.
I don't care that he had been friendly with Hillary. I don't care that he
has changed positions. I don't care that he's been married 3 times.
I don't care that he fights with Megyn Kelly and Rosie O'Donnell.
I don't care that he doesn't know the name of some Muslin terrorist.
This country is weak, bankrupt, our enemies are making fun of us,
we are being invaded by illegal's. We are becoming a nation of
victims where every Tom, Ricardo and Hamid is a special group
with special rights to a point where we don’t even recognize the
country in which we were born. WE JUST WANT IT FIXED and
Trump is the only guy who seems to understand what the people
want. I'm sick of politicians, sick of the Democratic Party,
Republican Party, and sick of illegal's. I just want this thing fixed.
Trump may not be a saint, but doesn’t have lobbyist money holding
him, he doesn’t have political correctness restraining him, all I know
is that he has been very successful, a good negotiator, he has built
a lot of things, and he's also not a politician, he's not a cowardly
politician. And he says he'll fix it. I don't care if the guy has bad hair.
I just want those raccoons gone. Out of my house. Now!!
For the record, the words above are not mine. This came to me in
an email via my local Tea Party. No authors name was given. Tac

Yep, right now we need his sort in power. He is a successful business man. Part of that success comes from knowing who to hire for what position. If they can't deliver he'll fire them not move them around to hide them. He is a strong negotiator and not likely to just draw pink lines in the sand over and over a little further back each time. Maybe he is brash, crude, and one wayed. Maybe that is what we need in a president now. Someone to fix this mess.

Sometimes you need finesse in a leader..... but right now we need a hammer.... that can force change and has no loyalties to the establishment or the lobbyist!!!

I think the temper tantrum that he is having over coming in second says a lot about his character.

At the very least, his (apparent) lack of self control makes his tantrums honest. Match that against the second Klinton's dodging and weaving over any particular lie.

More than once in the past, I've used a controlled "loss of temper accident" to make a point among folks that didn't get it the first two or three times. (Think kids.)

Still not very Presidential. We don't need to elect another Man-child IMO.

Another man-child.... Klinton, Pinko Peanut Carter, Obummer, it seems to get elected and loved that is what the country wants.

Also EVERY person I talked to said that Trump won the caucus where they were, and yet Cruz won. Sort of reminds me of the election awhile back where they tired to take the polling info into the back room to count it as us sheeple were not to be trusted. When that idiot said he would take them into another room and count them I jumped up and said the only way he was leaving was with two broken legs! A bunch of other jumped up and said if I didn't break his legs, they would, so the count was done right there with everyone counting. This time they had a computer or what ever and typed it right in. However..... this year, unlike all other years, the local rags did NOT announce the results caucus by caucus, precinct by precinct, just the overall results. If I didn't know the results are "honest":eek: I might think they were rigged. Again.

There's one huge thing missing from your story.

Suppose he is the greatest raccoon evictor ever. His qualifications are impeccable.

But he cannot herd all those raccoons by himself. He needs help from the members of the Raccoon Catcher's Senate, and its companion organization, the Raccoon Catcher's Congress. And he's burned so many bridges, they all now hate him and won't help him.

The Raccoon Catcher may be the greatest when he's running solo and calling his own shots, but he's not in his own private dictatorship anymore. His inability to play well with others makes him a whiney crybaby in a room full of raccoons.

He's still better than anything from the other side. If he makes it past the primaries (without my help), I'll vote for him.

IMHO, He has a chance of beating the Hildabeast #1. More so than any one else running. #2 neither the PTB in the Dem or Rep party want him. (that means he is possibly anti-establishment enough to make some positive changes). Remember when the air traffic controllers decided to strike and Reagan immediately gave them an ultimatum to return to work for the good of the nation or be fired, and then fired them. Reagan was a wild card who didn't play by established rules. I see Trump as being capable of similar action. Gov is bloated and inefficient. I would hope as a CEO trained in common sense not established rules, he will pare the hell out of inefficient government such as the EPA (environmental Pollution agency), energy, education, legalize pot and release pot only convicts nationwide. Maybe even respect the Constitution and use the veto pen as appropriate. Bottom line he has a chance of upsetting things, and I will vote for him over anything the Demon crats submit as a choice .... ie, Bernie the communist or Hildabeast the lying crooked bitch. jmho ...... please consider this all then vote as YOU see fit.

Well may the anonymous author of the above tract want to remain anonymous. His /her main argument is that we should not judge Trump on irrelevant, superficial personality peculiarities. There is nothing wrong with explaining a concept by use of analogy, provided that the analogy is relevant and the analogy is strong. I would agree with the author's underlying point of not judging a book by its cover but the author then weakens the analogy by making some false assumptions, and by assuming that which is to be proven (begging the question).

What follows is my exploration of questions that any thinking person might ask themselve by actually examing the contents of the book known as Donald Trump.

Theatrically getting rid of wannabe apprentice raccoons is not quite the same as getting rid of feral basement occupying racoons. The feral raccoons bite back.

I'd also be concerned in investing in a business owner who has a track record of filing for bankruptcy and making wonky, unsound business decisions to satisfy his own exponentially expanding ego.

I'd be concerned that the methods used by the raccoon remover may cause as much, if not more property damage and disruption to the owner's house than the raccoons have apparently been creating.

I'd be concerned that the raccoon removal contractor has no actual experience in removing the particular kind of raccoons that the property owner wants gone.

I'd be concerned with a raccoon removal contractor who rants and raves that he will get rid of those goddamn illegal alien raccoons, without explaining the details about how he would implement those promises /threats, including relevant costings. What business policies does he actually have in place to actually deliver on his raccoon removal promises?

I'd be concerned with employing a raccoon removal contractor who tends to be litigious with those whom he feels has slighted his sense of dignity. I want my contractor concentrating on removing the raccoons in my basement that he is being paid to do, and not being distracted by his suing all and sundry because they are bad mouthing his butt crack.

I'd be concerned with a raccoon removal contractor who uses his forays into the field of removing raccoons as a vehicle for shamelessly self promoting his other business enterprises (where his actual fortune is being made). Despite promising many times in many places to remove raccoons, he has never actually followed through on those promises / threats. Raccoons just laugh at him.

I'd be concerned with a raccoon removal contractor who claims to be what he evidently is not. Claiming that he is a member of the raccoon contractor's lodge, and claiming to be a regular attendee of lodge meetings and participating in lodge ritual, when at best his commitment to the ideals of the lodge can at be best described as nominal: It offers me little confidence about the accuracy / truth of some of his other claims, and it tends to indicate that he is prepared to say, and do almost anything (including drinking grape juice and eating "crackers" )if he believes it will get him into the white McMansion on the hill.

I'd be concerned that the raccoon removalist who may potentially have irreconcilable conflicts of interest between his raccoon removal business, and his actual core business interests.( stabling pedigree thoroughbred horses, and dude ranches for golf playing horse owners).

Well supposedly you double quoted me. 1st off in the original post everything above the dotted line were not my words. They were the words of an unknown other than I. The thread title 1st 1/2 was me and again the rest was plagiarism of an unknown. The disclaimer after the dotted line was all me.
