Given that for many of those years, the GOP's avowed policy was to replace Obamacare....not much effort had been expended in researching and drafting an effective replacement acceptable to its own GOP legislators, and which Democrats might be amenable to supporting. Yes, being in government IS different to being in opposition.

In the USA you have too many people that think the government owes them a living. We messed up over two hundred years ago and imported people into this country that will not work and pay their way so we are stuck with all kinds of entitlement programs, including healthcare. I have worked all of my life and paid my way,I think if you are able you should do the same. Our country is broke with entitlement programs. The reason I don't like someone talking about my president is because he was fairly elected and he is our last hope to be the country we used to be. Believe me if the USA is in trouble, the whole world is in trouble.

    Get over it snowflake

    You are absolutely right.

America hasn't been the country it used to be, for a very long time. It would be a mistake to conclude that D.T. is any kind of hope, let alone the last hope of reliving those glory days.

It is indisputable that Donaldo the Magnificent was elected El Presidente....whether he was elected fairly is arguable. Even if he was elected fairly, that doesn't mean that he gets a free pass for acting foolishly or irresponsibly, or be given a get out of jail free card to be used if acting illegally. It is the duty of every citizen to hold his government (including executive branch) to account for what they do. Even though I am not a citizen of your esteemed country...there's no sound reason for not pointing out that the Emperor is butt naked, and the magnificent clothes that his flacks (Conway and Spicer et al) are talking up, are, well, non-existent.

When does name calling substitute for effective dialogue? Somehow, the same sentiment wasn't taken on board among the whingers and whiners here who complained about Obamacare being written into law...the snowflakes here were beside themselves with spittle flecked fury.....what's changed???

Methinks over the next four years, Donaldo De Trumpet will become accustomed to the taste of sour grapes....of course he will blame it on his peons...never himself.

@chelloveck His name is Donald Trump, he is the rightful CEO of Slavery, Incorporated. You need to grasp this concept already.

I will also advise that it's even more unlikely to ever see positive change under Liberal guidance in America.

Has it ever dawned on you that even Trump already knew the healthcare bill had a very good chance of failure?
The point was to obtain victory no matter the outcome, and with the Bill being pulled due to not having the support it needed, it cemented rightful ownership for what's to come. It's simple, really. Trump inherited this socialist mess, and he made it known that he will not be blamed for the economic turmoil which comes as a result of bleeding heart emotions and greedy side deals made with the medical corporations who authored the scam. The Liberals are all frothing with excitement as if they've won some kind of battle with their perceived enemy, but all they have really done is prove to the world how corrupt, sick and depraved politics has become in this age. If the Bill had passed, Trump stated they had intentions to alter the health care in phases, so you only saw the first portion. None of this matters to the Liberals, who have chosen to ignore common sense as well as lawful purpose and instead promote unconstitutional socialist ideals for petty gain. Seriously, incorporating the IRS into the equation to fine and penalize Americans for not opting to be taxed massively for health care they don't need or want is so completely asinine and sickening, I'm surprised Washington D.C. hasn't been burned to the ground already.
