    Will Society make it?

Yes, a very broad question, lots of variables, so feel free to give broad answers...

I think we are seeing 'the change' in direction of the pendulum, going from the far leftward insanity to start swinging back to center then hopefully to the right. Obviously, I am not certain of this, and it will take time, but the numbers look good, in regard to the people that support this change.

However, there are so many variables that can stop this change that it is impossible to tell. The past decade has shown there is a coordinated effort to bring a dictatorship type control over the Western world. It has power, determination, organization and long-term planning and this is only one variable. Others are rising world population, debt ridden democracies, technology (good and bad), and even disease as was shown by the pandemic and of course war, just to name a few. In the USA, civil war seems to be more and more a real possibility...maybe not only in the US either.

I think it is a coin toss...and that is the best odds I would give it.

It's normal for the pendulum to swing... I'm more worried about how much it swings to either extreme..

i believe you create what you envision. i believe in god but not religion. i believe praying has a effect. can we convince society to envision peace and harmony instead of hate and chaos,,,sadly no. i don't think so. i hope the pendulum swings to a representative government but i doubt it. id like to be a optimist,,, but i dont think it would work.

my not especially educated opinion: no.
We have a miraculous reprieve for a short time but after this next presidential election, there will not be any good news. Ever.

Depends on who gets shot next.
If there is not next with respect to political figures .. we'll probably make it.
High profile on either side .. well the shit show might kick off wider than it already is.
We could continue smoldering for decades. At a minimum holiday family gatherings are going to be in decline.

I hope not, otherwise I've spent 25 years preparing for something that won't happen in my lifetime. As I keep telling y'all, I got me a plan. I got plans for ALL this sh*t!

The world I was raised in no longer exists. Will we go back to some period where we have reclaimed at least part of it. I doubt it. We had neighbors who came from all over the world and proudly became Americans even though they spoke English badly. With the ability to live in a community that reproduces your home country and to resist asimulation, the mass of people, the breakdown of a common culture, I don't see us making it. I pray that I am wrong, but then part of the problem is that an ever increasing part of our population thinks that is in itself a problem.

Yes, I agree, that is always a concern...

I am also a very strong believer in God but not religion. Sadly, I've given up on it.

Please elaborate a bit. I would think that Vance has a decent chance if nothing changes and he seems to be strong enough to support many of these good policy changes; however, I wonder if he can keep the loyalty that Trump has been able to do. Please explain...

More and more, I begin to believe that mankind is indeed the problem, and we can't change. We think we can, but we can't.

I don't know anything, but what we've seen in the past. I certainly have been wrong. I would have bet Trump couldn't get a second shot and look how that went.
I've written deleted a few responses here but none of them say it right, so I'll just leave it at that.
WE COULD save civilization, but we WILL NOT. We aren't willing to do what it takes, beyond this one guy, any more than we were after Reagan.

No, I think you nailed it. I also believe we could change it, but we will not, because, in simple terms, "We aren't willing to do what it takes..."

The US does not have to go down the toilet, but there is so much in the works that seem to be forcing the demise.
The rest of the world is certainly making great strides in self destruction, an they could just STOP if they wanted to but greed, hate and distrust due to lies fuel the fire.
It is truly sad, that with the advancements in technology we truly are headed for a prison planet.

I actually think that the fall of America will then be 'game on!' and the world would fall into chaos. Sounds like American arrogance but consider that we hold the line against those countries that will simply have their way by force - meaning - their diplomacy is 'might makes right.' Russia is a perfect example, has been for centuries, and does anyone doubt China would be into Taiwan in a heartbeat if it were not for the US Navy and the threat of America's interference. Smaller countries throughout the world would do the same and tie themselves to one of the two for arms to increase their conquests. However, there can only be one big dog and being that they have borders...sooner or later they would throw the dice. Hell, China is natural resources starved with rich Russian Siberia a stone throws away. No, I don't think it is arrogance at all. A strong America is a peaceful world - well - a more peaceful world.

Yep. 'Merica is the glue that holds it together, just as England was 300 years ago. There will always have to be a superior force ready to spank those who get too far out of line.If America falls, it won't be from outside forces but from stupid shit we will do to ourselves.

aardbewoner judge a human on how he act,not on look and talk.

It can be a very simple answer NO. Why,well think of the experiment you see on high school,in a petri dish the put food and a dot of bacteria.Next days that filled the half dish, the add a dot of penicillium culture. That soon overgrows the other. The come the time the fill up the dish, and as all the need is used up,and die.
So are we in our never ending greed and expansion. Plundering the earth, our petri dish.

My thoughts on the subject... we will have some sort of society but not sure it will be recognizable to what we have or what we had...

England was an excellent example as was Rome and a few others...all from within.

This makes sense but I am not so sure... There are so many international powers today that truly want America to fail that I feel sure if things went to Hell and we ended up killing ourselves off in a civil war these powers would do everything possible to assist in our demise, probably by supporting both sides. The other thing that jumped into my mind is that it is very unlikely we would have another Lincoln. While I am not a great fan of his he did hold the nation together and without him we would have splintered...which is exactly what the Left pushes with their diversity crap. Unity has been our strength, sea to sea with much weaker nations North and South of us which also gave us a huge economy...and let's face it, our economy is the muscles and sinews that forces fear and respect worldwide. So, I think if this 'great experiment' fails it will mean the splintering of the USA and that would be the death of America and from then on it is a whole different game, not only for us but the entire world.

Yep. Well put. From within. All great countries died from within as we are doing now. Democrats are just boiling the frog.

Problem is, other countries resent the influence we've had on the world. many hate Christianity because we help the poorer countries with food and medicine and education, these other countries have been using their ignorance for their resources and cheap/slave labor.
Africa and China still have slaves, even their own aren't treated with much respect.
Most people have not spent time in the military in third world countries have no idea how bad thing can really get.
If NATO get their wish and the US is broken down like the liberals and communists are working toward, the country will be unrecognizable.
If we can stand against the NATO agenda it may take a global war to break the globalists agenda.
But if we fall, bullet will fly but being able to tell who is who without a uniform or positive identification is problematic.
