Or, anyone else for that matter, who doesn't like our President? What they think and what they say, just doesn't matter.

The last guy cared too much about what people in other countries thought about him and the US.
    That guy sucked.

Donald J Trump, apparently. Expect Germany, and other countries at that UN assembly who snickered at Donny to join Trump's list of countries with economic sanctions...somewhere after Iran, but before North Korea. ;)

Evidently the embedded joke in Seth Myers's satirical skit seems to have gone over a number of heads here at SM. The skit joke trades on the cliche'd stereotype that the Germans are a dour humourless people...not upon the notion that Germans actually care about Donald Trump's asinine claims.

I hope he sanctions any country that owes us money.

In past months, I have seen both Hun Sen (Cambodia) and President Duterte (Philippines) threaten our country. We should let China take them both over until they beg for our help. Screw 'em both. Cambodia has already shown how reckless it is, regarding the Chinese.

Ha. Ha. Ha... Care to back that statement up with some economic facts? No? Yeah, I thought so...

We've carried the Germans and the rest of NATO long enough and, with the changing of the times, we no longer can do so. Merkel gets it and has already started a huge Defense improvement plan. She, like others, realizes that she can no longer count on America to blindly defend Germany for her, especially if Germany isn't willing to pay the price for defense spending. Putin's Crimean ventures sort of made it real...

"Expect Germany, and other countries at that UN assembly who snickered at Donny to join Trump's list of countries with economic sanctions."
Yeah, right...what a load of tripe. This is actually a low blow so I must assume you are tremendously frustrated that things actually seem to be getting better for America because we finally got a President that gives a damn about Americans and puts America first. What a novel idea... Nevertheless, you and those like you might as well get use to this for this is the new norm...

Nah... They have turned into the greatest nation of pacifists that I have ever seen in the world and, not to toot my own horn, I've seen a great portion of the world. However, having said that, as of 2016, Germany is having a huge increase in defense spending, almost like a true rearmament. Those sharp words between Merkel and Putin, due to Putin's invasion of the Crimean, drove home the point that Germany was incredibly weak with no teeth to back up those words so... Hell, Germany is even now talking to France and Britain about nuclear weapons and I wouldn't be surprise if they build their own in the near future. This is a huge switch for a nation of pacifists LOL! The point here is Germany is the leader of Europe and with the collapse of the Soviet Union, America's changes at home, economically and politically, forcing its desire to disengage from Europe, Germany must step up and fill the void. And, they will...which suites this taxpayer fine.

I see that the "Roger that,,,Aye-Aye sir" did not last very long.

I stand by the essence of my post in the political motivational -demotivational posters thread, deleted some days ago by an ever vigilant forum invigilator. You have eloquently validated the central thesis of that post.

It's all in jest there Sir Chell ol boy . I feel if youre so inclined to disrespect my President , I should be so inclined to respond .I've liked quite a few of your posts , but when it come's to our President , you have done nothing but bash him , He's done more good for our country than quite a few of our past ones . I don't involve myself in others political leaders , I don't feel it's any of my business , just as I feel our President should be none of yours . But we do practice free speech here . Just don't feel it matter's much coming from across the pond . Roger That ?
So , to the mods , If I'm out of line,,,, again,,,,I'll just hit Ignore .
    Good day Ol Chell,,,,,

I don't think its healthy to make idols of one's political leaders, nor to ignore one's leaders shortcomings...leaders who tend to bask in the unalloyed praise and affirmation coming from their fan club, tend to authoritarianism, and start forgetting that they are answerable to the whole nation that they are suppose to serve, rather than the political constituencies that will bankroll their next election campaign.

It's a common refrain, and I am sure that there are many who share an infatuation for Donald and his nepotisministration. I understand the attraction for puffing up the credit side of his administration's balance sheet, while ignoring or minimising its debit side. I also understand some may feel that treating a head of state like a pinata ought be reserved for local yokels, but its an international forum, and no head of state anywhere is a sacred cow, to be protected from scrutiny and criticism. The surprise to Donald at the UN, was that he didn't get the same response to his B$ing that his MAGA zombies tend to indulge him in at his Stateside rallies.

The thing is Chell, when you ,as someone from another country, insult our president it gets people’s heckles up. We might like him or not like him. I can say for certain that I don’t idolize him. There is not a snowball’s chance in hell that I’d invite him over for dinner. However, its like you getting in the middle of our family argument being not from the same family. You have no place in the argument and you will tend to attract the ire of some for trying to butt in. If you actually read his policies instead of trusting the media in this country you would see that he is not going to end the world. If you read Huff/Po then read some Breitbart. The truth is somewhere in the middle. It always is. My plant is hring and expanding. This is a good thing. Even the hourly union guys like what he has done for jobs. Right now he may be a rude blowhard but its the democrats tearing the country apart with their war on men. I might not be a man myself but I have a husband and a son and I support them. Neither one of them are monsters or sexual predators and when a particular party tells them to shut up and implies they are evil just becase of their gender, it makes me think they have nothing but hate for this country. I might not personally like trump but I think he is what we need right now.
